Where will the goals come from?

So where will the league goals come from and how many will they get? Some thoughts (is it enough?)
Ade 12
Kane 5
Soldado 8 (mostly pens
Lamella 5
Erikson 5
Lennon 3
Townsend 5
Paulino 7
Moussa 3
Bentelab 2
Maybe the odd one from DF's and Defenders, but still think goals will be a problem against top half opposition?

From a tactical point of view, watching us early season and the many Southampton games I saw last year, its clear that the burden for goalscoring will fall on the four forward positions and specifically the central striker, No.10 and the left side forward. I wouldn't expect a huge amount from any of the other positions... The centre mids for example will look to hold the middle of the park for the most part and cover for the full backs pushing forward... Unless our set pieces dramatically improve and we get some defenders chipping in with a decent tally.

I think we have five or six players capable of getting a decent amount of goals, there isn't a 30 goal a season player, no, but if the goals are spread around and we are picking up points then he isn't needed.

Ade will score plenty. His goal ratio from his first performance to the campaign close, last season, was on a par with the best I believe.

You can take Lennons and Townsends goals away, that ain't happening.
I would expect 15+ from the main striker
30+ from the Am 3
20+ from the other positions.
This will with be a setttled team, so we could be talking next season.

Poch's high press system will mean we win the ball back in much better goalscoring situations. The problem last season was that our slow build up meant most of our chances were half chances and we didn't have a high quality strikeforce to convert those. We'll get a lot more goals from midfield this year IMHO.

Chadli already has a couple, if Townsend and Lennon get 8 goals between then i'll be surprised.

Think we're going to struggle for goals unless Lamela recaptures his Roma form, Soldado recaptures his Valencia form, Chadli recaptures his Twente form, and Ade stays interested for the whole season.

A lot of doubt with the above but can only hope that something clicks and the defence manages to tighten up.

I believe we have goal scorers in Soldado Ade Kane Eriksen Chadli Paulinho hopefully Lamela but I can't see anyone being prolific. ....maybe Soldado given a good run.

We don't know how good our defence is yet, the new players haven't played or settled yet, however the strikers we know and they leave a lot to be desired.

We've scored 5 league goals in 3 games...not to bad atm but it was the main case against Liverpool where our goal would come from...I really hope Soldado is given a good run of games to build his confidence as a goal scorer i fell he would out score Ade who is a better alround player but drifts so to much.

I don't think you will see much of Soldado till the Europa league.it appears he is not in the forethought of Poch's thinking. As for scoring well, it's all in one game v a very poor team.
