Relistically id love another proper wide goal scoring forward for the left, Remi ( i dont like him) but would suit us well with pace and finishing, Mirallas would be another good shout and could cover left and right flanks. If at all posible and I think Schürrle would be perfect for us, the chances of it happening are slim to non exsistant thou.

I'm torn. I like the idea of Musacchio and Schneiderlin, we clearly need a goalscoring wide forward but...I'd really fancy an out-an-out battering ram of a forward like Bony. Ade shows flashes, but someone like Bony would (a) score loads (b) create loads of space for guys like Lamela, Eriksen, Townsend etc etc.

I hope it's MS and I think that's the most likely. We could do with getting MM sorted before that. Those are the only 2 signings I'm really interested in. A surprise striker signing would be nice but teams rarely sell strikers at the end of the window. Plus I'd like to see how our present front 3 do under the new manager.

I kind of get a little deja vu with the MS transfer. When AVB came in he wanted Moutinho as his key player in midfield. It still hurts thinking back to the 2012 window where VDV was sold and the Moutinho deal collapsed. I wouldn't be as gutted if the Schneiderlin deal collapses as I think we have plenty of depth in that area of the pitch, but he could be a key piece of the puzzle so fingers crossed still.

Id like us to take a gamble on signing a potential future world class striker. We won't need to spend big bucks to get them in (relatively speaking) and the pressure on them won't be huge.

If we started doing what the likes of Porto and some of the dutch clubs do we could end up with the next Suarez or Falcao for less than £10m.

So although it won't excite many here, i'll put forward the name of Douglas Coutinho.

He's a good fit for the PL, in that he's strong and athletic but also very skillful on the ball.

11 goals in 26 games this year (albeit in the Brazilian league) and only 20 years old.

I reckon £10m max would get him right now. He could go either way, but i reckon worse case with his age we'll sell him in a couple of seasons for £5m. Best case scenario is that he becomes the next great Brazil striker.

I like this approach a lot, I've never seen this Martial kid we've been linked with play but if he's as good as people say then that's the type of player we should go for before it's too late. I really enjoyed watching Modric and Bale develop into genuine world class players even if they did leave us

Potential
Can beat his defender
Can score
Can cross/pass

He's only a baby still.

Not paid too much attention as English players with a crumpet of skill get over hyped and ones playing for traditional top 4 get hyped beyond all reason.

We will see how he does now with a much raised profile and defences singling him out now there's no Suarez

as long as his name doesn't rhyme with Frazier Campbell, I'm cool

but I would love Memphis Depay

Remy would be a nice little addition as long as we've got our CB. Could make all the difference.

I'd go for Schneiderlin because he's the one I think Poch really wants.

Isco (loan) or Lavezzi.
Be delighted with Schneiderlin though.
