Which seat is better?

Managed to get a couple of tickets for the Stoke game :dance:

However, they are in different stands. One is for me (obviously), and the other is for a mate of mine.

One is Row 15, in the North Stand (right next to the corner flag)....the other is Row 8 in the West Stand.

What are people's opinions on which would be the better seat?

They are both in the corner. The one in the North stand is lower tier near the corner flag, and the West Stand one is upper tier on the far left.

I'm guessing the West Stand will have a better view, but will the lower, North Stand have a better atmosphere?

Whenever I've been to the Lane in the past it has always been in the Park Lane, so obviously not expecting an atmosphere like that in the rest of the stadium...

Yeah for Atmosphere Park Lane is by far the best. It sounds like you're going to be in the family area of the North Stand (though I can't remember if it's upper or lower) so I wouldn't expect too much atmosphere out of that anyway. West improves in atmosphere as it gets closer to the South, but I think the view should win the day for you, and upper tier West Stand, even out far left, is bound to be better than lower tier in the corner of the North Stand.

West Stand best for the view, North Stand best for the Atmosphere.

When I have the choice I go for East upper Shelf Side as its the best of both worlds. pretty good atmosphere and you have some hope of working out who is offside etc.

I am a Staunch West Stander so I'm going to be biased , but honestly, the few times I've been in the North Stand I've just not thought that much of it.
