Who could you see being sold/loaned in the summer?

  • Bentaleb (clearly out of favour)
  • Carroll
  • N'Jie (harsh but I don't see what he offers- Not goals or assists...)
  • Chadli (I don't think he fits into the Poch vision of what our players need to be) See Lamela for eg of what needed to happen with Chadli. Has scored a lot of goals but its possibly the all round play that he lacks that I feel Poch isn't happy about - sadly

I think we could possibly use the spaces to get in a backup striker, backup DMF and an AMF

your thoughts?

If we sell any of our first team then massive questions have to be asked, we will literally get nowhere if we keep selling our top talent.

We must retain and build not destroy and rebuild all the time, this is a young team that has to grow together and keep improving, if that isn't going to be the case then honestly what is the fucking point?

We have to make a statement in the summer, buy better depth so we can have more impact from the bench and retain our best players so we can push on and go for the title again or at least try to.

The alternative is to roll over and just pack our bags.

Thought Niji played ok prior to his injury, he is quick as fuck and like Lamela presses well but take your point. My worry is our lack of bench options. I wouldn't be surprised if we sold 3-4 to be honest.

Personally I think Mason, Carroll, Chaldi, Bentaleb even Pritchard could be moved. We have already been heavily linked with Batshuayi, Lacazette, Boufal, Witsel and Tielemans and any of those players would add quality but we would need to make space and also raise funds.

Really depends how ruthless Poch is in trying to make our squad as strong as possible.

Yep I think we can and will hold our first 11, we should have CL football next year and that seems to be the draw for most players.

If we're wanting to maintain a top 4 challenge whilst also competing in the champions league then we definitely need some upgrades as our bench shows how light we are in quality.

For me the following can go and be replaced on the grounds they're not good enough for the level we're currently competing at.

Vorm
Carroll
Mason
Pritchard
Chadli

Bring in:

Young promising keeper
Cover for Dier - cover both CB and DM, Kirchoff at Blunderland fits the bill
Boufal
A striker

Reintegrate Bentaleb back into the squad if he hasn't burned all his bridges.

Would be quite happy to see today's starting XI in the first game next season. (maybe a CM upgrade)

Would be nonplussed if we sold Chadli. could see him at Sunderland/Newcastle (if either stay up)

Perhaps you haven't seen what Clinton offers because he's been injured for several months. Oh and watch highlights of our 4-1 win against Man City, then you'll see what he offers.

He's better than that.

Having just arrived home from the bar where I was drowning my sorrows over tonight's result which all but certainly ends our title hopes, I don't think this is the time for me to rationally think about where we need to improve..

What is wrong with you

Sorry mate, I do love a thread that suggests we should loan/sell players that have been injured for 5-6 months. Lets sell N'jie, Pritchard, fuck it Edwards isn't a first team regular lets sell him! Chadli didn't score in stoppage time today, sell him. Bentaleb? 40 good games? Shit pass against Utd, sold.

See my point? Shit threads with no thought.

I would hold on to Mason and Pritchard. Cup games premier league games etc. The rest The rest on your list i agree. We need quality and numbers for a long season.

I'm well excited for N'Jie next season, he'll be on fire.
We should consider selling Vertonghen. He is far too good to play in front of some of the idiots that call themselves spurs fans.

No way must we loan or sell N'jie, let Poch work his magic. I really really like Njie, the guy has something special imo, the way he makes and finds space complements his superior dribbling and physical attributes. He is a player I really like, he will develop into a hell of player.

I agree to that. My only worry is his first touch. He has a habit of kicking the ball far ahead of him self and then chasing it, beating other players due to his speed. That sort of thing won't really work in the PL.
