think dortmund's "superb season" is tempered with bayern being way below their usual form. not to say it won't be a tough test but i'd certainly see it at worst 50/50 and whoever is more clinical will get through.

I make them slight favourites based on the fact they have the second leg at home, so will know what they have to do in one of the fiercest venues to visit in Europe. But we have a far stronger chance than had we drawn most of the other sides.

They've 12 wins from 15 with the other three as draws and they won a CL group containing Atletico Madrid, that's a superb season no matter which way you look at it.

So we have the scum 3 days before second leg...
Surely that match will change. Doesnt look like they've done TV schedules in March yet as its shown as a sat 3pm kick off. Cant see a derby not being televised

The first leg was well timed from our perspective, Leicester at home the weekend before and FA Cup 5th round the weekend after. Stating the bloody obvious, a good win in the first leg and we're in pole.

The second leg is sandwiched between Arsenal home and Southampton away.

Probably 12.30 Saturday. We won't know until late January, that's when the TV dates for March are out.

German league not comparable to the premier league, so Dortmund being unbeaten doesn't say much. Good draw will be an entertaining affair.

They are though certainly better than last season.

Chelsea away is on the 27th. 12th/13th and 19th/20th are the first Leg CL dates.
According to BBC website they are saying we have the home leg on Wed 13th Feb and away leg on Tuesday 5th March. If that is true its not the kindest of fixture dates as the weekend before the 2nd leg is the NLD and the Wednesday before the NLD is a trip to Stamford Bridge! Mind you we've earned the right to be in these sort of ties in the Champions League so we will have to be ready for them, we usually get a tough run of fixtures all bunched together so it's nothing new there....

You'd rather we drew Barca, Juventus or Real Madrid over Dortmund?!

We couldn't draw Barca. And whilst Madrid may have the historical glamour, I'd guess that anyone who thinks that Dortmund is an easier tie than them probably hasn't watched either team play this season.

Juve - yeah that would have been tough as well. But I think our players would have been desperate for revenge, plus Man Utd showed they are beatable.

Dortmund are 9 points clear and unbeaten at the top of the Bundesliga, they just beat Atletico Madrid to win their Champions League group, and they will feel they have a score to settle with us after last year. Yes it was always going to be a tough draw, but I think some of our fans are badly underestimating just how tough this one is going to be.

Spot on. It's not about us "shitting ourselves" about playing Dortmund, I still think we can beat them, it's about how much some of our fans are underestimating them, presumably based on when we played them last
