Interesting how many have written of Sigdursson and Dembele but these players will be massively important to our squad. Dembele has unique skill sets not matched within our squard once he understands the new formation is an intresting player Sigdursson is a goal scoring ACM player on form both these players will be vital squad players.

I really think the best thing for everyone is to wait until about Janurary before any informed judgement can be made.....it's sounding way to negative of late in here.

How is saying we have such a strong squad that some talented players won't get much game time negative?

Completely irrelevant to this thread but thanks for your input.

I blame Jenas.
How is this 'completely irrelevant? Who should be frozen out was the question, Chadli is my answer and think he was a signing that wouldn't have been made had we had a definitive answer on Bales future.

The question is who will get frozen out due to having a very large squad.

It's not a thread to criticise new players or wish players on loan were still here.

I agree. Can't beleive people are so quick to jump on Chadli. I think the reason for this is....he is not Erikson, Lamela or Paulinho. He is less high profile and not a 'wunderkid'. There has been nothing that bad in his performances thus far when we consider we are only three games in.

p.s: Did anyone see Postiga's goals at the weekend for Valancia. He was one that struggled initially too.

Pretty liberal use of the term initially unless you mean the period from when he signed until the day he left. :D

Chadli has been a solid performer. Just because he hasn't beat 5 players and blast it into the top corner from 30 yards people are writing him off. People need to watch him closely. He treasures possession rather than running into blind allies and looks into pass and move into space intelligently. I know people have been used to Lennon running blindly head down and getting no where through out the years but knowing when to release the ball is the sign of a modern intelligent player.

It shows how far we've come in this window when players like Siggy and even moreso Dembele are being spoken about as being frozen out.

Siggy hasn't reached his potential by any means by remains an effective player who can play in a variety of positions - though I actually think he will never be a true success with us due to a lack of pace or any one outstanding position. Dembele was an absolutely vital player last season but he's been noticeably slower and less powerful since his persistent injury (which I'm convinced he's not over still). Still a top player but I think already surpassed by the likes of the classy Paulinho and the surprisingly good (because I'm ignorant) Capoue.

it wouldn't surprise me if we win our opening three El games if he is given game time as a potential shop window or time for redemption. not sure how old he is but he even might be happy as a number 2 if he does not get any offers, but I doubt it.
Pretty sure he isn't much older than 30 prime for a goal keeper.
