My vote went to Lloris for his consistency. You only have to look at our goals against record so far. It's early days and there have been individual outstanding performances but not at the level of this amazing goalkeeper.

Only time will tell if he usurps Ditchburn, Jennings and Brown from one of my all-time top three Spurs goalkeeping spots but he's not doing a bad job so far and is certainly up there with them.

to me I can't say because we have played different players in the different competitions.
Lloris is doing well but he could have been sent off with different ref/linesman.
Siggy and JD have scored goals in the games they have been selected for.
I can't pick 1.:(

The best thing about our team is that we are only going to get better as all the new players bed in.

I think we'll be top 3.

Best players so far? Lloris, Vertonghen and Paulinho have been superb.

I also think the difference with this team (which makes it difficult to pick one individual) is they all playing a part. I use to say that we were not a one man team when Bale was here but looking at this team so far, i'm starting to feel that i was wrong.

When we play, there isn't really one player that excites me or makes me say get the ball to him because he could win the match for us, much like when we played with Bale. Paulinho, Siggy, Defoe, Erikson, are doing that and even Chadli, Holtby, Soldado, and Lamela have that potential to change/win a game for us. These guys will come good and even though I'm a little disappointed with Soldado, I still have faith that he will be a top striker for us.............and before anyone mentions the service he gets, Defoe gets the same service and he scores (having said that he had an easy one to win the game and fcuked it up). The point is, as a team we're still gelling and considering the amount of new player we have, being 2nd in the league ain't bad going

Very telling that so far this season there are quite a few names you could put forward as our best player, it varies each game.

This shows we are developing as a real team rather than one player being the start and end of such discussion - a-la last season
Although at this stage of last season the stand out players were JD and Lennon, not the eventual end-of-season hero.

I think our midfield has been our strongest area this season. And that makes it a straight shoot-out between Paulinho and Dembele. Both have been excellent so far but for his defensive work, strength and skill going forward I would have to say Dembele. He was our best player yesterday and I thought he was our top player against Norwich until he got substituted... on a stretcher.

He dropped a bit last season but this year he has been everything you could ask of a midfielder... except maybe goals. But then Sigurdsson has been taking care of that and certainly deserves a mention as well.

best player at this early stage id have to say loris, so impressed with him in all the games we have played, so quick of his line and his reading of the game is just unreal i think he is one of the best in the world deighted his our number 1, people would ask me who is my fav player i would never think of saying a goalkeeper, but now loris is fast becoming my fav spurs player....:)

Lloris has been genuinely world class but get's very little attention from the pundits. I'd love it if someone put together a youtube vid of all of his interception saves from this year

If i had to choose it would be Paulinio followed by Dembele. But the whole team as a unit have been very impressive.

Can't really put my finger on one, there's been a good few players having outstanding moments. It's been more of a team effort than last year for sure, which I'm pretty damn happy with.
I agree, no one stands out in my mind, and that only bodes well for the future.

Lloris by some way.

Dembele has come back into form and would be my 2nd choice with an honourable mention for Townsend.

I'm really not getting the Paulinho love . Yes he's a goal threat but he's given the ball away a lot and look like he was hiding against both Arsenal and Chelsea. He's a good player as he has shown for Brazil but he hasn't turned up in either of our big matches so far.

Lloris has saved us many points already.

Dembele's was supposedly under threat this season but he has been fantastic bar one game he didn't get into

I'm loving Paulinho more with each game, I love his late runs into the box and energy

Townsend has come on leaps and bounds too.

The only player who I'm a little underwhelmed by is Chadli but it's early days

I voted Dembele, because he is class and works so hard for the team. But now I think about it, Lloris could be first... anyway, for all round performances in all games, I'd go for:

Lloris / Dembele
Paulinho
Defoe
Holtby
Eriksen
Vertongen
Rose.....

I'm going to stick my neck out and say in a few months time I expect Townsend to be the SC favourite. He has proved in the last few weeks that he learns really quickly. He has gone from beating his man with pace, cutting in and shooting to feinting to shoot and slipping in a team mate. Scary to think where he will be in a few months with his raw talent if he keeps progressing at this pace.

Whisper it but he could make us forget the world's most expensive player.

I've gone for Paul with Hugo coming in at a close second because Hugo had a couple of mare moments against Norwich and Cardiff which could have cost us the games, but bearing that in mind he's still be fantastic for us.
