Mate, I'm not disagreeing they can't be good players, they most likely will be, they may even make it at Spurs. But Bentaleb is a player who will be playing for an elite European club in a year or two.

Which has no bearing on how good the other players can be.

Azzaoui looks class. Alli also looks great.

There are so many coming through, really starting to see the fruits of the academy.

Yes, and the great thing is, that under the current regime, we are becoming very well known in football circles for promoting youth and giving all our younger players a chance to prove themselves. This is a wonderful selling point to all young players and they can see with their own eyes, players like Harry Winks, Alex Pritchard, Josh Onomah and the rest, that if you're good enough, you're old enough.

Looking ahead a couple of years, these players will be nearing physical and mental maturity and moving into our new home (the biggest club stadium in London) they are really going to be knocking on the doors of the first team with genuine claims for selection, which will be brilliant for us on a number of levels.

All these full time moaning minnies who will never acknowledge anything positive about the club or anything to do with it (and we have our fair share of those unfortunately) will jus have shut the fuck up and admit the truth.

THIS is the club with the brightest future. The massive new stadium. The most incredible training facilities. The philosophy of making the very best out of our fantastic youth policy. The first class backroom staff. I tell you, players of all ages and nationalities will be dying to give their careers a major boost here with us, especially as after not too long, we'll be paying top wages along with the other elite clubs, and genuinely challenging for the Premiership title. THATS what we really should be aiming for ultimately.

Sorry, I was off on one there...

Voted Alli. More than just ability, exceptional already in competitive games, quick, fit, skillful with a great brain. Carroll is talented but doesn't really dominated the midfield as yet, Alli does and that isn't a common thing, certainly not of a player his age.

Terms of pure talent Edwards and Onomah stand out. Edwards is the most talented kid I have ever seen at the club, it feels like watching a young Ronaldo, Messi or something. He may not amount to much or be the best player in the Premier League in years to come. He has the talent to be special, now it's application but I am not surprised Barca are running after him.

My answer to the question is onomah, he has the potential to be the best CM in the PL

i agree, though i'm worried he'll never get to play there under poch as defensively he's not strong enough to play in a cm2.

I haven't seen enough of our youngsters to comment but what is great is how diverse the opinion of people that have is. Given the potential of Bentaleb, Kane and Alli, to have other youngsters being held in even higher regard says a lot about our future. It's not just one or two either, I'm really excited for the future.

I really like Edwards, Alli, Pritchard, Onomah, Winks, Veljkovic, CCV, Azzaoui and Oduwa the most of the players you listed. But, IMO, Edwards has by far the most potential. People are raving about him already saying he's the most promising young player in England and he has the biggest clubs in the world tracking him.

About a year on- what are people's thoughts now?

I said alli and azzoui. Az has gone. Alli is an england international.

Next gen i really don't know. Onomah and edwards have potential but can go either way. Really hope ccv can be the next king rather than caulker.

Don't think any youngsters will have a massive breakthrough this season unfortunately. Not saying they are bad, just think we are stacked in each position.

Definitely Edwards and Onomah. Though I think Winks will definitely become an important part of our team once he breaks in. His assuredness and composure on the ball is great to see. If we were to sell Mason and Carroll, he would slot in effortlessly as a backup CM.

I think a few on that list could have a break through session this year (10 plus games). Onomah, Pritchard and Winks the most likely If they all stay, with 2CV, Edwards and KWP getting a bit of bench time and the odd cup game.

Really excited about our youth coming through. Hope we can bring them through, giving them sufficient game time.

KWP has to get a very good loan (possibly abroad) or be moved up the order this season and get some serious back up game time, he is an outstanding talent, and we must not fuck him away.

Edwards has been training with the first team, he is incredibly talented, one of the most talented kids of his type - attacking dribbling, ball stuck to his feet, bability to thread that eye of needle through ball - of his generation anywhere in Europe right now - I think the club know they have to give him at least tastes of things to come or they are going to lose him, even though they probably would like to have done things on a slightly slower timetable.

Onomah remains a very talented, for a kid his age his composure on the ball, decision making, is exceptional - I know most haven't seen much of this for the first team, but it's there, I just worry that with Poch's absolute adherence to 4231 we will never see the best of Onomah. Hope I'm wrong.

I know many, even the other regular watchers of the academy football, didn't like Lesniak as much as I did. He doesn't play in a "glamour" position or perform a "glamour" role in a team. He's a functionary, and a very young and embryonic one at that, hard for anyone to get excited about. But what I liked about him was the kind of thing I liked about Kante. He's a busy **** with good positional sense, an great little engine, and he moves the ball crisply, simply and efficiently. Players like this need more luck than any other to make it, because they rarely stand out amongst the super novas. He's now been sent off on a far flung loan to Czech republic I believe, god knows if it will help or kill his career, it could go either way, but I liked the kid and I hope he ends up earning a living, because the super novas need the functionaries to function.

Hard to see Winks getting game time, again within the constraints of 4231 and no Europa this year, but maybe if Mason and Carroll are sold, there may be some time to be had if he's lucky, if not, he too, like KWP needs to be found a good club who will appreciate his game.
