So does soldado and ade (this season)
They are struggling because the midfield is struggling whereas Kane has always struggled up front on his own. He has spent most of his career in the hole or CM or the wing more than up front

But kane struggles up front on his own

That's a bit harsh considering he's never started a game with Lamela, Eriksen and Chadli behind him. Considering Ade has has started quite a few, and has been awful, I think Kane should definitely be given a chance there.

The beauty of having Chadli there means that if Kane does drift out wide or sit too deep we still have Chadli that will advance in to the area.

Kane's a young guy we have only seen the best of him since the back end of last season, so to judge him on loans spells and games for us when he was younger is a bit unfair .
The only game I can think of this season when he played upfront on his own was against limisol and was MOTM

Im basing this on hit performances for Leicester, Leyton and the youth team.

He should be just allowed to develop in his natural position before making the natural step up like RVP did(not saying he is as good but RVP played off Adebayor, Henry and etc. first)

Not really because its his natural position

Don't forget Partizan away, when people on here, were saying that he was our worst striker and he shouldn't be starting. He doesnt need that and be told he is a championship player at best. Lets leave that to townsend atm, before it goes on to the next guy(previous holders Rose, Bentaleb, Kane and more).

At AM he offers us something that the rest in the AM aren't offering tbh

it is the wrong question really, the question should be who is the best striker for Poch's system. Adebayor clearly hates it almost as much as he did AVB's. It does not particularly suit Soldado and the potential isolation is not going to help rebuild his shattered confidence. While it does not play to Kane's strengths he would at least be prepared to give it a proper go.

If they were all playing to the best of their ability every week, then Adebayor is clearly (and it's not even close) the best of our strikers.

But in terms of form this season then Kane is on his own out front in the race at the moment, and I'd reward him with a start against Newcastle, much like Pochettino did with Mason after the Forest game.

EDIT - and literally seconds after I post that he gets his hattrick. Play him every week, Poch!

Worst goalie though

1) Kane for me. Can create his own chances/shoot from anywhere, scored several goals in all comps, good passer, can hold the ball up, always gives 100%.

2) Soldado, as per Lamela, I still think he has lots to give, he's a natural finisher and capable of creating chances in tight spaces.

3) Adebayor, our Balotelli, he's a clown, overpaid waste of space.

Mainly as a no 10, but as Milwall played a 442, he started as a CM (mainly) for about a dozen games before being moved to one of the 2 strikers where he scored about 6 goals in 12 or 13 Championship games (ie 1 goal in two).

Agreed he's very rarely played as a lone striker, and as a 2nd striker or no 10 he can use the 'main' striker to create havoc whilst Kane takes advantage to find the right space - like tonight where his 2nd and 3rd goals were all about being in the right place at the right time - the first when he moved before anyone else for the 1st goal to take advantage of a shot which the Greek goalkeeper couldn't hold and the 2nd he moved slightly back to be in the right position to receive Fazio's excellent cross anmd head home. Both 'poachers' goals,

For the first goal he chose his spot from maybe 30 yards out and hit the ball hard and accurately across the goalkeepere.

I think he could play as a sole striker if he has the 3 AM's behind him rotating positions constantly with him, so to some extent we have 4 AM's but no lone striker with all AM's taking a turn at being a 'false' striker r- but Kane's ability to score goals make him lethal, and Eriksen, Chadli (and after tonight;s performance) Lamela could make the 4 a very interesting forward line. Almost a 4240 formation.

Kane is still developing and if he can make it work as one of 4 AM's he may then tranition more easily to being able to play the sole striker role later.

I'm not sure kane is best striker in our squad
But now I'm sure, he's not the best goalkeeper in our squad.

Needs to start some Prem games now.

Ade showed last night he can't cut it at any level in current form.
