Who is the new scapgoat?

With Benty abdicating the post, who should be the new scape goat?

Now that both Darren Bent and David Bentley have been rescued from the Boo boys as figured of hate and derision. Who is going to fill the Maxi Miller role at the Lane when we have a bad performance or defeat?Eek

OMG I forgot the perennial prince of pain and disagreement Jenas.
A goal of the month contender that turned the Goon game and stonking performance against Liverpool, should not falter the opinion of the anti JJ Club.

Gomes is our current whipping-boy I think. I feel quite sorry for him with his position being constantly undermined, especially, so publically. Then after him its probably Redknapp knowing them. Then it will go back to the start for Bent, Jenas, Huddlestone, Lennon, Modric, Dawson, etc... Makes ya proud to be a yid eh?

So you are basically in favour of rotation but just for an 'elite' (sic) selection of the squad. Maybe we could do a draw before the game and at half time to choose the goat. That seems much more equitable.:hump:

He's had two poor games (Arsenal and Zagreb), but has been awesome every other time he's played for us.

No, he hasn't. He was getting turned far too often last season. No real improvement on Chimbonda at all.

Could do a game of bingo maybe? That ought to liven things up. :)

No, he has. Big improvement on Chimbonda.

got to agree here.

Juande never got the best from Hutton. Hutton is not an out-and-out defender but one that likes going forward. He is not a Gary Neville who stays back for the majority of the game.

The thing with Hutton is that to use him at his best when going forward the team need to cover the gaps he will leave behind. This is the job of the DM or a CB.

As a defender he is not ULTRA-QUICK, he has a decent pace but he is both brave when he gets stuck in and is a grafter, his tackles are generally well timed and clean.

He goes about his game quietly and effectively.

I'm hoping Harry can get the whole defence to work as a unit. Then we may see the best of Hutton.

I do think he is a class act and we have not seen him blossom in a Spurs shirt yet.

I think it may take time for the defence to work as a unit, but it is looking better already. We are defending as a team much more, with often 2 mids sitting in front of back 4 until we break quickly like tonight.
Chimbonda was great 1st season and flexible enough to cover, but he seems to need a signing on fee every 2 years. Hutton is a step forward, meanwhile lets remember Pascal;

Hutton needs a few more games and he'll be fine. The main difference between him & Chimbonda, in my opinion, is attitude. I thought Chimbonda was a good player for us but there's something about him that was very unlikeable. Maybe it was the way he handed in a transfer request whilst still in his kit at Wigan. Maybe it was refusing to walk at pace when being subbed in the CC final. Maybe it was cos he wore woolly gloves in the summer. Who knows. But Hutton always gives 100% and he's useful going forward too. The crosses when forward and the general confidence will return i'm sure in the coming weeks.

As for the boo boys, i think it'll be Bostock. When they realise he's not Hoddle, they'll boo him to death and fart on his corpse.
