Who, of our core players, could you stand to lose in the summer window?

The Bale sale also enabled us to balance the squad and have a upgrade of quality in several areas. It seemed like the end of the world at the time but, as it turns out, we've come out of it rather well.

We've balanced the squad out due to players coming through the ranks and purchases after we spent the Bale money though.

As welll as a striker, I think we need a player that will challenge Dembele for his position. Get rid of Yedlin and Fazio obviously. Definitely not sell Lloris, Alli, TA or Kane, with anyone else its a case of see what the offer is and where is it coming from.

Mason will challenge Dembele for his position. In fact Mason was ahead of Dembele for that spot until he got his injury (which he's still carrying by the way, and will have operated on after the last game).

The problem is Mason is almost always in the treatment room, and has been since he was a teenager. Dembele too isn't the most robust in that sense. Would like us to add someone who can control midfield who we can call on regularly.

It's an ankle problem, so isn't the worst. Just happened that Jack Wheelchair's assault during England training in June and then in the Chelsea match in November hit the same thing.

I believe it is extremely likely that there was an option on the Carroll contract, effectively tying him to the club for 2 more seasons, or securing a fair market transfer fee.

Forgot about him! Either him or Carroll should leave in my opinion.

Why? Carroll is a bit flimsy, but Mason is a super player. He's got the most creative footballing brain in the squad, is a leader in the dressing room, has bags of energy, and is strong in the tackle.

We'd pay £30m in today's market for someone not half as good as him

Mason most creating football brain in the squad?

Bit of stretch that :D

For me Mason and Lamela are the two most creative players in the squad, and Mason edges Lamela. Mason sees runs that no one else does. Eriksen is neater in his execution, but he doesn't have the vision of Mason or Lamela

I really like Mason, but he doesn't seem to be getting enough gametime here. If Pochettino thinks Carroll has more potential, he might prefer to keep him instead.

Mason who has played 59 games in the last 18 months, despite missing 2 months with an ankle fracture?

And who is having to play all this spring with injections, because the club asked him to delay his operation till the summer?
