Well BAE was never any good.
this.I think I prefer a player like BAE at his best because he looked more in control of what was going on.
Danny Rose, who I like a lot, doesn't look quite so in control, as if he's a bit more dependent on the ball falling right for him. It may be because he's so much quicker though, which often is a great asset of course, so it's a hard comparison to make.
At their vey best, perhaps BAE just shades it, but even then it's a question of who else is in the team around them. Too close to call, is my stunning conclusion.
Thanks, no idea why people have so much trouble answering a straightforward question.
Well, to be fair dcm, the title does say " who WAS better at their best." What others are saying is that we haven't seen Rose's best yet, so the question is flawed and premature. Whilst I get where you're at, the title is somewhat confusing in that respect.
Just an observation mate.
If you want to take it that way go ahead. Most have read the post and understand it for the simple, straightforward question that it is.
And I was one of them. Don't get narky, I wasn't criticising, just making an observation on why others have possibly misunderstood.
Jesus!
Wasn't getting narky, I can go all DC Boy on you if you like to make it clear I'm not being serious and addsmileys everywhere to make my tone clearer if youlike.
BAE caused us a CL place? Bullocks. Considering he was part of a squad that was instrumental in our qualifying for and participating well in our only CL year of participating, your opinion is wack. While it's difficult to separate BAE and Rose, continue to let your dislike for BAE get in the way of any sensible argumentRose is more consistent. BAE always had a wtf moment in him that not only cost us games but possibly a cl place.
Rose does need to do better at getting back, he's not a winger.

Benny for me. In Harry's last season he was incredibly consistent and assured at the back, and also contributed a lot with his passing which was usually very positive and attacking.
Rose has changed my opinion of him with some great attacking performances, but I still never feel entirely comfortable with his defending.
Fair to say that Benny's personality won me over as well. How can you not love this guy...
