what is the fascination with all these dutch players???? They're all a bunch of overhyped/overpaid pansies. People go on and on about vdv, sneijder, drenthe, robben as if they've consistently set the world alight - open your eyes for crying out loud....apart from their days with ajax/psv (in a piss poor dutch league), none of them has performed to any degree of consistency. I just don't understand why ppl get so excited over seeing us linked to a dutch sounding name....would i come across any more appealing if i changed my name to rafael-van-der-jaan-arjen mornstar?

Muntari would be THE perfect singning for me. As has already been pointed out, he can provides excellent options both on the left (during luka's absence) and in the middle, where I think he could form a lethal partnership with wilson.

Van Der Vaart was brilliant in his time at Hamburg, Sneijder had a great first season for Real, Drenthe I agree with he's been crap but Robben has been good where he's went just very unlucky with injuries.

I went for Sissokho because I still believe that, even more so than Modric, Wilson is the most important player in our team as we don't really have an adequate replacement for him if he's unavailable. Losing Luka is a massive blow, but the likes of Bentley, Bale and Gio should be able to adequately cover for him while he recovers from his injury. But just imagine that Wilson had broken his leg instead of Modric: we'd be totally up the creek without a paddle now, because (IMO) there is no one currently in our squad who can even do a backup job for Palacios, not even to the same lesser degree that Bentley/Bale/Gio can do a backup job for Modric.

Therefore, even though the likes of VDV etc are maybe more exciting than either Muntari or Sissokho, I absolutely believe that an all-action central midfielder to cover for (or partner) Palacios is THE most essential signing we should be trying to make, and for me Sissokho is the player I'd like to see fill this role.

I voted for Joe Cole but obviously it is a very unrealistic option so we might as well have had a vote for Messi there as he is equally likely to sign.

Of those on the list we actually may have a chance of signig, I guess Muntari would be the most practical as he would be both able to cover modric and palacios whilst being able to partner Wilson for games in which we really need some bite.

I would imagion a midfield of... Muntari Huddlestone Palacios Lennon, would really give Huddlestone and Lennon some freedom to do what they do best.
