Who would you replace Avb with if you had the chance?

Why is Sherwood a depressing choice for the remainder of the season? Why all the negativity? What is that based on? As far as I know, he's widely considered as a bright football guy who has been tipped to go into management. It's not like we are going to land a first choice, big time manager at this time of the year. Not realistic. What if he turns out to be like Di Mateo Appointment?

It's just my impression you understand, but to me Sherwood seems to have the aura of Banquo's ghost about him - a ghostly, shadow figure hovering mysteriously in the background, unobserved by the many, visible only to a few.
And similar to Macbeth, perhaps a manifestation of Levy's guilty conscience?

I've heard he has a 'Technical, coaching role', yet he seems to operate without any specific job title, authority or responsibility. Levy's 'snitch' might seem appropriate, given that he somehow manages to steer well clear of any flak that's flying about. He appears Teflon coated. The 'Head Boy' to Headmaster Levy, giving him the low down on how the kids are doing, identifying the bad apples via a note shoved under his door.

Maybe I'm doing the guy a disservice, if so I await to be enlightened.

I dont see Frank Rijkaard mentioned here. I think he did fantastic job for Barcelona and laid all the foundations for Guardiola and his dream team. He was one one the best players of his generation and has been under tutelage of Cruyff and Rinus Michaels so plays the game in the right way.

Although the last managerial posts for gala and saudi-arabia didn't go so well. And the last year at barca was also little dissappointing. But that was due laporta and maybe the bad player discipline showed by ronaldinho etc.

Also did well with the youth at barca like promoting valdes, puyol, iniesta, messi and so on...

If he could pull himself away from his Marijuana habit he may be an option, until then this is all puff puff and no substance

Problem is, disservice or not, he has no managerial record to speak of whatsoever. If anyone thought that AVB was in over his head I would surmise that Sherwood would be a huge risk of epic proportions.

The only replacement we need:

Chuck Norris.

The man needs no introduction or justification.

Bielsa for now. Would love Jupp Heynckes but apparently he's done with management.

End of season, or whenever possible - Murat Yakin or Lucien Favre. Like the idea touted about the Stromgodset manager Ronny Deila, but think he's too left field.

Also (slightly less left field) Francky Dury at Zulte Waregem has done well for them, and don't think they're a massive team. Anyone know anything about their style of football particularly? Dury just won Coach of the Year in Belgium...

I expected it tbh mate, Though I had the foresight to see that Avb would not get much further, I did expect him to at least get past Xmas at least. It does give a indication to the fickle nature of football fans and this thread has shown that somewhat.

Throughout this thread I have failed to answer my own question and after some thought, I would like Frank De Boer to replace Avb, And even though it is not ideal I think it only right to get behind the team and Sherwood now and make massive noise at the lane, Also having Chris Ramsay in on the action is exciting for me, As I think this guy is a great coach. BTLS!!

Laudrup -massively overrated
Klinsman -useless
Hoddle -useless and terrible man manager
Mancini -useless
Capello -boring hand made Italian robot drone with even more boring conservative defensive football
FDB - No idea, roll of the dice

Sure there's better options Than those being mentioned in press
