The Inter Milan legend is available for nothing after leaving Leicester City, and here's why Mauricio Pochettino should look to beat West Ham to the midfielder's signature.

Thought id post this as, alongside our youngsters, I feel we could do with a few ex-internationals to pass on experience.

Not sure about perfect addition, but certainly a very good one, there are no other obvious MF candidates out there that really excite me since we lost out on MS. So for me i think bringing Cambiasso in for a season would be a great idea.

Good bit of business if we can get it done, allows Poch more time to find a midfielder and also adds plenty of experience to our young midfield.

I don't feel he has the legs to compete in the Premiership, however maybe a useful sub and a coaching role may suit him and us.

Could be a good-signing. Certainly has the pedigree & prestige of a top-class player who has played at the highest-level both at club & international level.

The Poch will also know him from their time in Spain & in particular, their time with the national-team, so he will have seen firsthand how good a trainer & professional he is. If the Poch thinks he's fit-enough to handle the system, then I would welcome his signing.

Would add some great experience. Like brad, show the youngsters how to be a professional and treat their bodies to get the most out of their careers.

Monaco are open to sellin moutinho maybe now's our chance to sign some real quality. Levy should go in with a £20m bid and see what happens

I for one would much rather have Cambiasso for nothing for a year or 2 than pay 20 odd million for McCarthy for example

He can still play, and I think his vast experience and winning mentality would do wonders for our young squad

Davids was an embarrassment for us, His heart was still there but his legs were gone, most of the time it was like he was running through treacle

He was useful for the youngsters as a mentor but thats it

Are you insane?!?

Davids, while he was not to the same level as his Dutch and Italian playing days, when he played for us he added so much.

If Cambiasso is able to offer similar stuff I would welcome.

Whether Esteban can, is another matter!

While not in his prime, Davids' first year with us was a good one. I reckon Cambiasso would be a good addition for the reasons others have already espoused. No risk, possibly excellent benefits.

This makes a lot of sense. On that basis it probably won't happen.

He's not excat;y in the mould of the kind of players we're looking to sign for sure.
