Why this month has been so difficult behind the scenes for Pochettino

Something is off at the club behing the scenes.

Its Poch's job to get a settled enough group that can beat Newcastle at home.

Everyone knows certain teams will come to Spurs and park the bus.

There was no excuse for that performance yesterday, shocking!

I dont want Poch blaming the European transfer deadline for our poor play, he has to take responsibility and put it right against that lot down the road.

The rot set in last season and looking at the results is goes back to the home loss against Wolves. The run to the Champions League Final and limping over the line into fourth covered over the cracks.

I cannot remember a good performance after we hammered Everton and Bournemouth. A lot of games we were down 1-0 and had to work back into the game and then won or drew late. Brighton was very late and we didn't put Huddersfield away until last few mins.

We have won games because we had better players than the opposition and not because we were the better team on the day.

How would last year have been viewed in review had City's goal in the QF not be ruled out or Moura had not scored against Barca or Ajax? Those goals put a gloss on the performances in all three games and we were happy to advance.

We have hit something of a wall. Can we climb back over it?

I think Poch has lost some players in the dressing room. He's on a downward spiral with the squad. That and the huge expectation of this season is a recipe for disaster. I hope he can turn it around cos those players need to get they're passion back.

There's no answer to the "why' question posed in the headline. And all of the speculation is a waste of time. None of this explains the Newcastle result, which is more fundamental than particular players' contract situations or whatever.

How about we all have a little patience? Poch is the best coach we’ve had in living memory, he’s done well with a tight budget and now faces some player issues.

After the end of the window, we should be clearer as to the players we have and don’t have.

Have a little faith, give the coaching team time.

Poch spoke about the need to regenerate the team. I think the fact Eriksen, Jan and Toby are all expiring in the summer makes it hard for him to build a team around them.

There are players that are still looking to leave this window like Wanyama and that is also disrupting his plans.

He said this would be a tough season and I think we can see why.

I'm just glad that he recognises it and knows he must remedy it

At the end of the day the manager is responsible for the results on the pitch whatever the circumstances. I would imagine that Levy is concerned about the recent form, and if not then he should be.

Yes absolutely, but it would be so much easier to have faith if Poch was showing the same personality as he was in his 1st 4 years at the club. Criticizing players, cryptic statements, moody press conferences, and suggesting (in different ways) he's not committed to us long term are all draining the fan base of faith. That and some obvious poor tactics and poor 1st half displays mixed with the absence of our old 'press' have made fans question, correctly in my opinion, where we are headed.

I don't blame the fans. We are all concerned at the moment, totally in the dark. Its only natural to speculate. I hope we keep faith in him and I hope he comes good. In the absence of positive news or performances that's all we can do.
