Why wouldn't a good manager say that? Asking him to up his level in training to match his teammates isn't sacrilege in my opinion. His comments are justified. If sandro is stupid enough to tweet that then he should man up when Sherwood explains why he didn't select him. Why is everyone so touchy?

The proof will be in sandros response in training. Maybe this will do the trick? Maybe I'll just get burned alive on here for my views?

You won't be burned alive for your views by me mate, I just don't agree.

I just think that if Sherwood is going to do that sort of management in public then it will cause a lot more problems than it will solve.

Not if he leaves in the summer it won't. I think the new manager will be rather pleased that they've been shaken up a bit and told to fight for their places and futures by Tim.

It's not just his comments though, it's everything, it's not just what he said, it's also stuff like playing Siggy or Chadders in a midfield 2, leaving us so open, when we have players like Sandro or Capoue available. It's hipster stuff like that that pisses me off, like AVB constantly playing siggy on the left, game after game.

Yeah I agree about the tactics side of things. I'm not a fan. I'd prefer somebody with a 4-3-3 high tempo attacking philosophy preferably LVG. Thing is most of the abuse Tim gets is nothing to do with that.

Totally agree. I'm quite ambivalent towards Tim. I've really been put off this site recently because every thread is hijacked by vitriolic comments about Sherwood.

Some of the tantrums over Sherwood's media comments are just embarrassing. Have these lot heard some of the crap mourinho, Wenger and LVG come out with on a regular basis? Managers talk crap, get over it!

I'd like a new manager in the summer so I don't have to read comments from these so called fans anymore

I agree, this place has been pretty shit for a while now, the hateful comments are a massive put off.

Sandro should just man up and prove him wrong.

I like the guy but his twitter and facebook addiction is a bit egotistical.

If it was me I'd just make sure I owned Chadli in training.

No one is shooting down Sherwood because he isn't picking Sandro, people are shooting him down because he has made a habit of speaking crap about our players in front of the reporters. What good can possibly come from this behaviour of his (other than his imminent sacking, that is ;) ).

Totally agree. Good managers in any industry bollock their staff in private and defend them ( as much as they can ) in public.

Sandro's been shit this year, always injured, not looking fit when playing.

However always dicking around on some form of TV.

He needs to show more effort in football than the ego, appreciate he is a fan favourite ( as was bea), but us spurs fans often pick shit players as fans favourites!

Always?

Really?

How the fuck would you know?

Truth is that you see a few short youtube clips and think that you know what Sandro does 100% of the time. Ridiculous.

Sandro is an effervescent character. You may not realise it but we need characters like that at the club every bit as much as we need quiet, serious or intense characters.

I agree. Didn't mourinho say this about Shurlee earlier in the season. No one had a go a Jose then

Its not just the Sherwood out thread, it spills over across the site.
Well, if the Sherwood Out thread overfloweth and spileth out, it should maybe be viewed as a sign of how much this guy has upset people in the time he has been in charge.

I doubt it's just this forum and I suspect twitter has been used as a similar venting tool by fans across the world who also feel extremely uncomfortable with his methods.

Stupid?

WTF!

He posts a completely innocent comment, "Good morning Guys, just to let you know that i'm not injured ! Hope that we can win the game today" and you slag him off for it, yet when Sherwood slags off our players in public (not just Sandro yesterday), you give him a free pass???

Far to many lemons slagging off Sherwood it's so boring- not appreciating the good work the mans done with Eriksen Ade Kane Bentaleb Fryers etc aswell keeping us within distance of european football, all with excessive injurys and inflated expectations. If you standback and assess this season we've made massive changes sold our best player bought players without EPL experience we've also had a change of managment (AVB) yet we've given Sherwood with no management experience the job, his been forced to learn quickly imo done so very well. I really hope he gets the job he deserves it... for once please Levy have some bottle and stick by Sherwood.

This season we have witnessed that our players have been mentally weak some ain't putting the effort in, they seem far to concerned about themselves not the club twitter hair styles moaring to the press etc, being a world cup year you sense players are protecting themselves with any hint of injury. How I read it, Sherwood has put the ball back with the players, basically saying to them, play for the shirt, and surprise surprise we've seen the true colours of plays like Vertonghen Sandro (running to twitter) and others.

Well done Sherwood about bloody time, players have to prove it in training and on the pitch. I also think Sherwood isn't stupid like some people paint him out to be, his brought Paulinho back into the team who is playing much better, given Bentaleb a deserved rest, played Eriksen in a nice position where his involved both in assists and goals yet people claim his a clown for not playing Eriksen in the Number 10, Harry Kane's now scoring EPL goals theres alot of positives guy with more experience also Sherwood will get better.

Remember how Sandro was the best defensive midfielder from August-January when he became injured alongside Dembele in AVB's first season? Remember how he was consistent throughout 'Arry's time here?

I don't think Sandro is terrible at all but what I dislike is players calling managers out in whatever shape or form. I think a lot less of him as he knew what reaction his comments would cause. But hey, his a good player and Sherwood is clueless so let's let's ignore it.

No we don't. We need characters who are winners.

Do you think the great plAyers who have own things in the premiership such as scholes, keane and viera were anything like this? Of course not.

They're the type of players we need in the club who are happy to stir things up if needed.

We had a few in VDV and Gallas and that's what we need back.

He's been at the club for alot longer than since December, mate. Its been like 3 or 4 years since Harry brought this cancer back to the club.

Also, disgusting to see the pro sherwood crowd act like this toward Sandro. Pitiful. I cant wait to hear their bitching and moaning when Dum Dum Dim is finally forced out of the club.
You shouldn't ever refer to someone as a cancer, out of order. You don't like Tim, that's fine. You don't need to go over the top

I am a big Sandro fan, but I can't support undermining the managers authority. The manager has to be judged on his performances, and part of those performances are the players he picks or doesn't pick. It's the players responsibility to play his way into the team if a manager doesn't rate him. No one should be picked on reputation alone.

Sandro got it wrong, and as I wish AVB had done, I hope Sherwood and Sandro sort it out professionally for the good of the club.
