Will AVB still be here at the end of the current transfer window?

Let's be honest we had AVB by the short and curlies when we offered him the job as our new head coach.
The guy had been sacked by Chelsea and appeared a failure to everyone bar himself.
He was in a weak negotiation position which is how we like them and he had to take what we offered.
He is a young guy with huge ambition and was hungry to get back in the ring as soon as possible.
Spurs wanted him, they were probably the club with the highest profile that he was going to get and looking at them from the outside they appeared to have a bright future.
He saw them as his chance to show the world that he could succeed in the Premier League and prove all his doubters wrong.
No doubt we promised him the sun, moon and stars and he had no reason to disbelieve us.
He had been at Porto and Chelsea previously and pretty much got any player he wanted.
He imagined having all his new players in from an early date and working with this group ahead of the new season.
He was full of optimism for the challenge ahead.

However now at Spurs things are very different.

There has been little movement on players going out and coming in and it appears that his new employer doesn't really have the spending power he imagined.

The new season is almost upon us and Spurs are lacking in some very important positions.

If AVB fails this time he will be lucky to get a job as an assistant to Harry Redknapp in the Fantasy Football League.
If things don't change very quickly he will have a huge decision to make.
Go into the season with a weak squad or call it quits and leave.

It will definitely be interesting.

Bloody hell, I didn't want Redknapp gone nor if he did go did I want AVB instead but this is just utter bollocks, it's almost as if you were fired by the Daily Mail for being too reactionary, spurious and knee jerky.

I'm very frustrated with our striking options situation, and I'm worried for the club's fortunes in the short and medium terms if we don't drastically improve our options by the start of September, but AVB not being our manager (whether jumping or being pushed) on September 1st? Have a word with yourself, Stemark.

It seems you don't need to be a mentaler to be a member of SC, but on the evidence of the OP it helps.

To be fair avb probably knows what's going behind the scenes a lot more we do... He'd have known we have a budget when he joined.

No, he definitely means Daniel Levy and ENIC have destroyed the club because they are not sugar-daddy owners buying us any player we want for mega-gazillions of bucks on the 30tha nd ahlf of May ;)

Of course he'll be here in September!

i do wonder whether he regrets taking this job a little.

I seriously doubt that there has been even a seconds regret at taking this job...

Agree

Of course he'll still be here in Sept but if Levy doesn't start backing him soon I cannot see him still being here next Sept

Always 1 step forward and 2 back with this club

...now the Chelsea job...

Are you seriously suggesting that a man as methodical as AVB would take a job like this without finding out all the details first? Laughable.
