Gallas' experience and his winning mentality is probably the best weapon we could have at the moment. I hope he stays fit.

So true, if he's fit for the remainder of the season I think we'll finish third never mind fourth.

Really hopes he stays it for rest of season! A real leader. I'd go as far as to say I'd make him captain for rest of the season.

Gallas>>scott parker

loved the way he was organising the back 4, and during one chelsea set piece really talking to luka and rafa about what to do

It's not the direct 1v1s i mean though, it was the daft moments where both him and Kaboul completely misjudged where the ball was going to fall and gave Drogba and Mata golden chances.

i think that the misjudging comes because of the pressure they get put under from Drogba. They can't just stand their ground against him so they feel they need to beat him to the ball, however sometimes this backfires. Against lesser forwards they can just stand strong and head clear.

Even the talking and motivational aspect from Gallas was fantastic. People didn't like him at Arsenal because he was so critical of his team mates but I think his will to win is clear to see.

The King/Kaboul partnership...always looks error prone. I just think sometimes its not just ability but personality and styles. Gallas and Kaboul has been our best CB pairing for the last 2 years. Dawson and Gallas also did well and even Kaboul and Dawson now that Dawson seems to have matured into a leader.

I love Ledley King to bits and by and large he has had a good season, but him and Kaboul look very shaky. I get the same feeling when they play together recently that I got when Bassong and Gallas played together last season...it was worrying

Probably miss the next two games now :-(. Good performance, though. Was rallying the team and telling everyone what to do. Good to see.

Meh. He was unconvincing to say the least in the air.

Then again, played better than King has in the past month. I'd start Ledley v. Bolton and then play Gallas in the next PL game.

It's come to something when I'm wanting Gallas to start instead of King!

Was immense today.

Such an under-rated defender. When Chelsea were so successful under Mouriniho it is no coinsidence that Gallas was in his Prime partnering JT, that's some partnership. Gallas was class today, won everything in the air, dealt with Drogba well, marshalled the team, natural leader.

VERY VERY GOOD centre back. And has been ever since we bought him.

Him and Kaboul weren't great today position-wise they got caught flat too often.

However as a a leader and organiser, briliant.

Loved seeing him talking to people during stops in the play, getting them in position.

So good today, he showed real leadership and he attacked the ball from set pieces, shame he didnt get that header on target! Parker was great too, communicating well and I think Torres got the ball and was 1 on 1 with Ekotto but Parker busted a gut to close him down. Great to see Gallas back and I would not drop him now, I think King should play FA Cup and hopefully lead us to Wembley and lift the cup but Gallas can inspire us to finish strong in the league.

it always did find it strange how everyone seemed to be writing him off and saying this is his last season.
