Now i know there will still be plenty of points to play for and i never get my hopes up when it comes to spurs but i honestly believe if we can do what seems like the impossible and get 3 points at Stamford bridge Wednesday, there is no doubt in my mind that we will get top 4. I believe Stoke will be safe by the time we play them so won't really have much to play for and a win against Chelsea will give the team so much confidence. I know you can say the same for the City game but i think this will be different because it's away and it's against a club that we haven't beaten away in over 20 years. This would give us such a huge incentive if we were to beat Chelsea because we would then play Stoke before Arsenal play Wigan with a chance to go 4 points clear. The pressure on Arsenal will be massive because it means a loss would guarantee us top 4 without even playing our last game. I know it's all ifs and buts but i am just saying we never felt we would ever win at old trafford and that happened. Wina at chelsea then we would of secured top 4 in my opinion.....COYS!!!!

last season all we had to do was beat villa and fulham to finish 3rd and we cocked that up. so no, nothing will "secured" until its "secured".

I know but i just think if we can go and beat Chelsea wednesday (which i don't think we will) but if we do, then i personally believe we will get 4th.

I'll only believe it when the season ends and the league table shows us in the top four. Until that happens I will remain guarded :)

I will believe Top 4 is secured if we're in the top 4 when the final whistle goes at the end of the last game of the season for all clubs involved - it would be very much in the Tottenham tradition to beat the chavs then f*ck up against Stoke or Sunderland. Beating the chavs would put us in a great position with 2 games to go - no ore or less than that. We certainly won't have the Top 4 secured and hopefully that will be drummed into the players if it does happen. It may all be academic anyway as we'll probably lose to the chavs due to a dodgy decision.

I'm optimistic about this game. When the season's schedule came out at the start of the year this would have been the game AVB circled. Hopefully his passion for this match will rub off on the players too and we'll see something special.

We could do with a little karma.

So we are going to beat them this time because we haven't beaten them away in 20 years. Care to explain the logic?

I believe we will do it i really do, but until the whistle blows at the end of the final games we will not have secured anything.

No. We need to win to purely remain in the running for top 4.

If we lose, Chelsea go 6 points ahead of us with Arsenal 2 points ahead.
If we win, we go level on points with Chelsea, and 1 point ahead of Arsenal.

If we lose while it may be mathematically possible to still qualify but would require Arsenal losing to Wigan and Newcastle while we beat Stoke and Sunderland. The odds of that must be at least must be at least 50-1

Even if we win against Chelsea we still need to win both games as even if Arsenal drop 2 points they will go through on goal difference.

Stoke's fans are gonna be bang up for it though, they've got some anniversary celebration planned..

But let's just focus on Chelsea for now..

"Win Wednesday and you believe top 4 is secured"................I agree with you.
For Spurs this is the BIG one, win it and we'll definitely finish in the top 4 as the confidence gained from a win at the Bridge will motivate us sufficiently to win the two remaining games, even though we have a long history of bottling it when the going gets tough.
I simply don't want to think of the alternative.
