This week is called the Feast of RVP
He that outlives this day and comes safe home
Will stand a-tiptoe when this week is named
And rouse him at the name of RVP.
He that shall see this day and live t' old age
Will yearly on the vigil feast his neighbours
And say, "This is Saint RVP week."
Then will he strip his sleeve and show his scars
And say, "These wounds I had on RVP week."
Old men forget; yet all shall be forgot,
But he'll remember, with advantages
What feats he did that week. Then shall our names,
Familiar in his mouth as household words —
AVB, Sigurdson and Caulker,
Vertonghen and Adebayor,
Be in their flowing cups freshly remembered.
This story shall the good man teach his son,
And RVP week shall ne'er go by
From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remembered,
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers.
For he today that shares his love of Spurs with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition.
And fans of other teams now abed
Shall think themselves accursed they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That celebrated with us upon RVP week.

People need to get this idea that Arsenal will fall apart because RVP is leaving out of their heads, they are not a one man team.

True enough as far as that goes. However, the fact of the matter is that goals win games. If they lose RVP, they lose a huge tally of goals. Ask yourself where Arsenal would have finished last season without his massive goal tally? Should he leave, then they will be relying on goals from two untested strikers, one of whom (Podolski) who has a number of questions hanging over his reputation as a 'world-class striker'. Regardless, those two will still need time to bed in.

Let's all rip the piss out of arsenal. After all, it isn't like it rebounded on us last year is it?

Nope, they finished below us and we're not about to lose our best player as well, in fact as far as I remember, they didn't stuff us last season either. Spurs fans are on seriously thin ice when it comes to lobbing crap at them for having a player leaving because he wants to win trophies.

At the very real risk of sounding childish... they started it. They've been having a pop at us over Modric since the end of the season. It got to the point where a MAN U internet site questioned them for doing so.

Let's hope Podolski and Giroud flop, because without RvP, Arsenal are severely lacking in cutting edge IMO. You don't win games yet for the number of passes thankfully.

It's almost as if football fans are childish and fickle with very short memories....

(I'd put a smiley thing in here somewhere to illustrate that I'm not having a pop at you but they either make me feel like I'm at playschool when i use them or they come across as passive aggressive, and now this explanation is three times longer than my actual reply, bollocks).

Henry left
Fabregas left
Van Persie looks like leaving

They will survive and I am not gloating at all until we finish ahead of them

Them losing RVP is worse than us losing Modric. We have no reason to not finish top 4 this season.
