What will happen if these 'workers' do not get the necessary facilities built and what not? Will it go to Brazil? Back to Germany? Anyone know? I hope South Africa sort it out because I can see a really good World Cup happening and it would be a shame for a nation who could do with it.

There were rumours last year of them having a contingency plan in the US but I can't imagine FIFA letting that happen after all of the effort put into getting the World Cup to Africa, and the beginning of ticket sales.

I did hear that it is now too far gone for there to be a relocation, so says FIFA anyway but they talk out of their arses half the time. If there's no stadia, then there's no stadia.

It's gonna be a piss poor WC anyway, a country that is as poor as dirt, is this WC really what they needed now? They've spent a fortune on it, it'll generate a few years work in the building (if they stop striking) and afterwards they'll have 5000 people watching poor league football in $millions stadia.

They'll probably not get past the group stage anyway and the whole of SA will lose interest.

The stadium from my understanding wasnt the concern. They were way ahead of schedule anyway and expected for them to be completed by early next year.

The problem was a bigger rail link which was expected to be finished a week or so before the world cup started.

We're used to shite rail links and waiting like sheep to get into piss infested train carts.

We'll be on home turf if that happens lol

FIFA would never relocate a WC. That would be admitting they made a major mistake in the first place and Blatter would never do that.

Unfortunately Africa's time came too soon for a WC. A fuck up here will set the rest of the continent back years!
