Worst ever derby performance

That was the worst performance I have ever seen from a spurs team in a north London derby. It was pathetic.

When Arsenal were streets ahead of us we at least gave 100% and in some games we ran them close although there were a few times when we got well and truly battered but can honestly say during these dark years I have never seen a spurs team give less a shit than today's shambles. when arsenal dominated us they were quite simply miles ahead of us because they had better players than us, today that just wasn't the case. We lost because arsenal wanted it more.

I can take losing but today I am so angry. We were quite simply outfought by an Arsenal team that was more up for it than we was. Fair play to Arsenal they deserved it and we deserve every bit of stick we will all receive in the next week. We can all talk about tactics and what Harry should and should of not done but today I can only see a spurs team not being up for the fight. It's as simple as that IMO.

We had no bollocks today and being a spurs fan I can't quite understand that In a north London derby. So pissed off its untrue.

You must be 11 years old and not lived throughout the 90's. That performance was still better than half of our performances in the NLD over the last 20 years., especially at their place.

No I'm not 11 and have seen us be absolutely destroyed by arsenal but from memory it wasn't down to a lack of effort by spurs like today it was because Arsenal were a much better team than us. Today we had the stronger 11 but lost because we didn't match them for effort.

Yes. Too many people believed the hype and forgot that Arsenal are still one of the top teams in the country who on their day can rip teams apart. We are not as good as some people make out and Arsenal not as bad. They wanted it more, chasing every ball, closing us down and attacking with speed and precision. We seemed a bit shell shocked.

Nothing more, nothing less. Not down to shit players/tactics/ownership, they were up for it we weren't lets all just draw a line and move on to Man Utd.

There was no lack of effort. Plus i saw us lose 5-0 at home to them. That was much worse.

If you're not 11 then your memory must be very poor
The 90's were very bad

Pretty much from the 35th minute onwards was the worst performance from a Spurs side that I have ever seen.

Some of the posters must be very young!

It was a bad performance yes, but we've had worse.

Anyway cheer up people, we're still 7 points ahead of 4th in 3rd. I'm sure this will give the lads a wake up call to put their sleeves up and battle on. The season ain't over yet you know!

The FA Cup is also very much still on as well.

It was no worse than the performance at the Emirates last season. And barely any different from most of the performances against them lately where we sit back and get outplayed, out worked and dominated by them. Only difference this time was they made a better job of converting their superiority into a goal advantage.

The first derby I ever went to was a the infamous 0-5 at home in the late 70s. I cannot believe that we were worse today than we were that night.

Was that a Boxing Day fixture...I was young, but still remember cringing as every goal went in - did the same today

I pretty much agree with this

They were well up for it especially with Ade playing and the fact that we are now favourites in these games has changed the players and supporters mentality

They've pretty much been streets ahead of us in terms of ability in the last however many years but we've matched them due to our work rate and commitment in these derbys

Today I saw rosicky and arteta running round like mutters flying in with challenges. We had no answer to that. Sad to see

Now let's dust ourselves off and do the Manx next week

Yeah, it was sometime over Christmas 1978. Horrible night and I really got it in the ear when I got home too!

Worst 2nd half yes.

with comment liek that your def 11 haha.. we were even worse in first half.. apart from first 5 minutes where i was very impressed with our start it fell away quicker than u say goal cos as soon as we scored we do what we do best forget to play and show the moral courage to go on and dominate and control a game and not give opposition team a sniff.. we got a lucky break with a second goal which was not a pen but can see why ref was fooled but apart from that that first half set the tone.. time and agin we let them come at us .. fucking awful.

What I remember, bitterly, is the Goons fans singing "Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle all the way...oh what fun it is to see ArseScum win away"...I think it was snowing too.

Now that was a miserable defeat.

Walcott's first goal where he literally ran past 2 of our players as they just stood and watched was embarrassing. It was a derby match and when they turned up the heat we melted in the worst way.. Same like the Man U match at OT a few years ago.
