I think we're covering ourselves with Berba and, anyway, there's no harm in competition for places. Berba and Podolski up front with Keane in the hole - works for me! I'd worry, though, that he can't get in ahead of Toni, he's woeful, plus the fact that's he's currently injured ain't good either.

Dos Santos and MOdric could both play Keanes role, plus if you want to open it up to Poldolski then why not Arshavin also? (lets not forget BEnt)

Keane is a striker. He has occasionally been effective when dropping deeper into midfield or "the hole", but he's been playing up front too well for too long for there to be any good reason to think about changing his position.

Podolski has been very good so far in the Euros. Loves a shot and he's been striking the ball superbly. I think he's been playing on the left though, hasn't he? I haven't really seen enough of him in his career to say what he'd bring to Spurs.

Toni had a poor game the other night against France, but he's most definitely not woeful.

I don't think the german league players have been up to much this euros. Toni scored 39 goals last year in germany and doesn't look like he can score for toffee, also, Gomez scored 28 in 32 last year I think and he's looked wank.

One could argue that they suit the german league and Podolski doesn't so well.

I think Podolski is only on a shortlist to replace Bent in case he goes, not Berbatov.

Keane and Berbatov is the most productive partnership in the Prem, and arguably the world right now (club football anyway).

Podolski is world class! Anyone who says different hasn't watched him play. He is fairly young and has masses of potentiol. I think great teams have great striking'Partnerships' so I'd take Berby and Keano pretty much over and 2 strikers in the world right now except perhaps Villa and Torres Berby and Keane are just poetic in their movement and they compliment each other so very well. Podolski is a class act but n.o1 would be to keep Berba in which case we don't need another world class striker, just a back-up prospect. If Berba went then as good as Podolski is he's not the type of player to play with Keaneo so that wouldn't work and Podolski and Berba yea would probably work however Keaneo is spurs through and through and was our player of the season why the fuck would we replace him.

So All in all probably don't fancy the idea of Podolski even though he'd be unlikely to come to us anyways.

the commentators were saying last night during the croatia game that they thought modric would struggle as a CM/AM due to his size and might need to be played as a second striker.

time will tell but i believe we'll start him in the CM/AM role hopefully threading balls around and starting/completing moves just like his MOM performance last night.

Yeah and what a bunch of shit they come out with, you dont need to be big to be sucessfull. Look at makelele who basically invented a whole new position. Hes used in the centre of the park and runs the show with his hard tackiling and positional sence (not so much now granted) but still. What modric lacks in muscle he makes up in double with his brain and natural ability.
