I can't believe the fans who aren't bothered about losing a game, just because it means nothing doesn't mean I don't care if we win or lose, how many seasons over the last decade or so have we had nothing to play for from Christmas onwards? I suppose in those seasons it was ok every time the side lost as there was nothing at stake?

jimmy walker should of played
surely he is not as bad as alnwick who looks so out of his depth every time he has played for us.

on another note harry needs to bring in 2 quality strikers because we wont go much further with the 2 that started today or the ones that came off the bench, i know it was a end of the season game and in the grand scheme of things it will be forgotten but seriously where was the pride today. poor poor end to a excellent season where our midfield and defence improved so much that they are the main reason we are 4th

Maybe I'm the only one but what I saw today was a team who was physically, mentally and emotionally knackered. The last couple of weeks have been tiring for the fans to endure, let alone the players. The important thing is they performed when they needed to.

There's no knee jerk if it's solely based on this game. I'm not saying we're shit, I'm not saying Harry out, I['m not saying we need to sell players who were out there today, I'm not saying Harry got the selection wrong, I'm saying that performance was a disgrace for the fans and it was a wholly unprofessional showing from Spurs.

Burnley had nothing to play for either, why were they able to pull a performance out of their arse and we weren't.

I don't like the idea of us just not bothering to turn up, it spits in the faces of fans.

come on mate, they were at home, thier last game in the Pl proabbly fro a long long time so once they got a sniff i'm nto suprised they lifted it.

we're not happy we lost badly but see it for what it is, a hang over of a second half performance when we knew the slim 3rd spot had been taken beyond us by the scums halftime scoreline.

An over the top reaction from fans about this has the potential tio be far more damaging that any worthless end of season toss result is.

Wholly? We did the job for the first thirty, conceded a bad goal. Hit a post in the first few minutes of the second half, then took our eyes off the ball/got knackered/wanted it considerably less, unsurprisingly.

Asking 8 of the same 10 outfield players to play three times in a week is asking for a poor second half in the third match in my opinion. Should have made 5 or 6 changes in my view.

Not happy about it, but not going to take it very seriously, either.

meh, Alnwick is shit and the players didnt care. lets just pretend it didn't happen and enjoy the prospect of CL football!! :D

You can't blame it all on Alnwick - Burnley made our 'world-class-on-wednesday' defence look like a 'hungover-sunday-morning-pub-team'.

Spurs manager Harry Redknapp: "We had the game in complete control and it looked like we would go on and score two or three more, but it wasn't to be - Burnley got one back and in the second half they played really well and we faded. Perhaps I should have rested a few but I wanted to give them the chance to finish the season off. It's a dream to be in the Champions League but it's just a shame we didn't finish the job and I'll go home with the hump tonight!"

I know the result is not the end of the world but it is a bit disappointing that we wern't ruthless today and give them a hiding like the Scum dished out to Fulham. Shows we still have room for improvement in forming a title-winning mentality.

Oh well, cant wait for next season!

Alnwick isn't very good - didn't know whether to come or go - defence had no confidence.

Not really had match practice but he;s never inspired any confidence or shown great potential at Spurs.

Sell - and bring in a better, more experienced keeper as backup.

apparently in the 17 previous games we were ahead at half time we won this season. shame we couldn't hold on against the might that is burnley today and make it 18. would have been an impressive stat.

Having made 4th place with a game to spare, I forgive the Spurs team and the management for what turned out to be a very poor performance!

One to forget!
