Replacing him with an injured player was not the best idea either. In retrospect it seems obvious that taking out one of the best players in the team and replacing him with an injured player who might or might not adapt to the league in time seems like a sure way to mess up whatever title chances you have.

It's like Arsenal losing Flamini. It has taken them quite some time and a change of formation to find their feet again.
