Yaser Kasim left spurs?

Am friends with a couple of the spurs youth players on facebook and just noticed on Andros Townsends wall that another of the youth players has said that Yaser Kasim has left spurs!! Anyone know anything more about that? Thought he was very highly regarded!!

I saw Kasim a couple of times on Setanta and he looked a good holding CM, with an eye for a pass. However, he didn't start in some of the big academy games at the end of the season, so he may have decided to move to another club.

He's clearly got talent, and I'm sure will get a contract at another club - quite possibly a PL club like the Spammers, or down a division or two if he wants to play some first team football next season.

With the likes of Bostock and Parrett being big money signings and also primarily CMs, Kasim may simply have decided he has more chance of progressing through the ranks elsewhere.

Yeah just seen it, he and Ajet Shehu talking, Andros Townsend said it but Shehu seems to know nothing about it.

whenever i saw he he played well but i dont think the spurs coaches rate him. he's pretty much been an academy player for 3-4 years without really being pushed into the reserves

he didnt start the games against the scum he only came on as sub and as said didnt start any of the major games really. he was tipped by some of the youngsters in the monthly magazine as the player most likely to break through but he hasnt sniffed the 1st team.

Redknapp had him in the squad for the Nijmegen game in November.

I hope this isn't true (as I rate him as high as Mason and Bostock) and find it hard to believe as we did the big annual cull of our reserves/second years only a few weeks ago.

I think they update the pages yearly...

but they do remove players when they leave quick enough

Was Yaser out of contract? Or will we get a tribunal fee from whomever signs him?

If we'd neglected to sign him up on a professional contract, then it's egg on face time.
