Exactly what he needs right now. Staying at the Lane and not playing, or even making the bench, is a waste of everyone's time. No reason he can't do a Rose and come back a better player.

I really hope he makes it and comes back to back to Spurs ready to take a position.

If he des do well this season then great. Poch will really have some speed in the squad going forward, which is clearly vital if he has any hope of getting us to play the way we all want.

I used to love watching Soton play under him. Here, its largely been, er, um. Not that.

I doubt he'll play at Sunderland much either, quite frankly. He'll be behind Matthews when he gets back. Jones is limited but he is probably alot better in defense than Yedlin and at Sunderland, you're going to need to defend well to get into the team since their a club that is always fighting for their PL life. And it doesnt help at all that he has to miss his first game there since they play us. Why? Jones gets another opportunity and we have a tendency to make shit opposition look good which helps Jones retain the spot for at least another week.

My hunch is he won't stay a right back the whole time. From the little I've seen he's better going forward so could end up a winger. He's got pace and talent so at a club that's struggling I'm sure they'll find a use for him.

It hurts to say this but he will not reach a level that will benefit us. As an American I've seen him play for the USNT a lot lately and the truth is hes a freak athlete, one of the fastest players I've ever seen and can deliver a good cross but his ball skills aren't there to be a winger and football IQ is well below prem level. If we got him as a kid (15) then maybe but I fear solid fundamentals are lacking. Best roles would be impact sub or lower level opponents ...I would be happy to be proven wrong btw
