Jon Obika has joined Yeovil Town on loan.

The 18-year-old Academy product, who signed professional terms in January, returns to Huish Park after a productive two-month spell at the end of last season, during which time he made 10 appearances, scoring four goals.

The striker previously picked up First Team experience in our UEFA Cup contests against NEC Nijmegen and Shakhtar Donetsk.

Jon will link up with his Spurs teammates Ryan Mason and Steven Caulker, who are also on loan at the League One side.

Good luck to him, it's a good club and level for him to gain experience.

Weird that the OS doesn't say how long the loan is... One month? 'Till January? Season? Would be good to know.

Rebrab says 3 months in the ITK discussion thread. A good length, perfect for extention if all parties want it.

But still, why isn't the OS reporting it?

I'm hoping that Yeovil play Mason behind Obika as their strikeforce. Mason played centre midfield at the weekend.

They've got Norwich at home tonight in the league cup, if Norwich don't sort themselves out (and change the keeper (Alnwick's there)) from the weekend he might fill his boots, as might Mason, and even Caulker
