For me we need a target man who has ability ala Berbatov to create chances and open a defence.

Any of Gomez, Dzeko, Kanoute, Diogo could fit the bill nicely.

If being wrong is being right then you are the most righteous fucker on here.

What is this? I mean really? What sort of post is this?

Modric cost 16 million. And Spurs have been bottom and he has 2 assists in the Prem while being played in a prime positions while we wait for him to click, we change the team shape.

Back then Malbs was still with us, I said this spells the end for him. A few WEEKS later he was sold. For peanuts.

He is now the top assist making midfielder in the Prem with 9 assists. In a shite team that hardly scores, he STILL managed to be the catalist.

Really? How am I wrong? Even Modric said he was disappointing and apologized for his form.

What is your plan??? What is everyones plan on my Modric post? To keep saying I was wrong enough so you all believe it? I mean I am cool about all of this, but I am starting to doubt that people are actually thinking...really thinking about their responses to ANYONE on this board. You all made your minds up and are sticking to it aparently, blind to any FACTS that are happening on the pitch.

If someone tells me "give Modirc time" once more, I will simply post links to our league position. Time is not an option peeps.

Aaaaaanyway. That was then, the team has changed with players like Palacious coming in. I previously said he is not right for Spurs, if we get another player like Palacious in he will be right for us. Because now they can take up the frail, defensive lack of heading ability slack. So things change, and I can see Modric improving if he have more steel from top to bottom. Which is why I think a big striker is a must.

Modric, Lennon, Bentley, Keane and Defoe in the same team is simply attack of the Smurfs and will never ever work.

Is it Modrics fault we are bottom? No. That is Levy bending to player power with Berbs and Keane leaving. Was my post right without the gift of hindsight? OF COURSE IT WAS! Deal with it...

And trust ole Gibbsy :hump:

Speak of the devil eh?

Yeah, tell me about it. Any vague Tottenham related reason to find any interest in a friendly international will do.

Horrible game though with two nice goals as it's only redeeming quality. Rasmus Elm with a nice volley and Kim Källström with a fantastic free kick (Bentley should take notes)

Janko was horrible. Completely isolated for the majority of the game. He did show some nice passing and link up skill in the first half on the rare occasion that he even saw the ball. But mostly I am amazed at how little he ran. He just stood still between the two central defenders and lost the rare long ball he got to work with. Strayed offside constantly too.

Surely this can't be all there is to him because the player I saw tonight would struggle to get 5 goals outside of the english league system.

Pavlyuchenko is taller than Torres, the same length as Berbatov and marginally shorter than Drogba.

Torres has pace, Drogba has power, Berbatov has skill and Adebayor has all but pace on his day and is... tall at other times.

Why did Jan Koller spend most of his career in Dortmund? All the players you listed, with the possible exception of Adebayor who has been suffering from a pretty huge hangover this season, are world class players. Their length is only a one fraction in that equation.

How on earth do you know that?
