Nice to see a few of you pick Aguero for your fantasy team.

Absolutely no doubt in my mind that he is a future World Footballer of the Year. The guy is gonna be just pure class (already is, despite being only 20).

In fact he would be a perfect No. 10 alongside Pav and could make a serious difference to our current fortunes.

We would never get Aguero though. He's destined for the top and wouldn't leave a very good Athletico Madrid team, who also play Champions League Football, for a Club like Spurs or City. He wouldn't take a step down, only up. Expect him to sign for Inter Milan or Chelsea. Inter are favourites for his signature.

Yeah I know, although this is just a fantasy thread.

Mind you, if the Sultan buys Spurs, maybe we should lodge a cheeky bid and offer him £250k per week. Then he might just take notice:grin:

If you just watched that game I will rest my case he was not fully to blame for the goal but you do not come 18 yrds out of your goal and not make the ball!!!! We are not going to agree on Gomes so lets just leave it.

Again mate the saves he made he caused himself!!!

You're right we will never agree, but if you check out the Gomes thread you'll find that you're clearly in the minority here.

Do you honestly think that last night he didn't save the game for us? And as for his saves covering his mistakes - that's absolute rubbish if you're talking about last nights game.

Worrying that you are looking so hard for his negative points that even the positive things he does you twist and turn the into negative points. Are you really a spurs fan?

Gomes has been no improvement on Robinson.

He is wonderful at reaction saves but his punching, catching and mishandling of shots is woeful.

At least he comes for things to punch them, Robinson's legs were actually putting roots down on the goal-line he was so static.

I'm speachless that you think that - that's the craziest statement i've seen so far about Gomes.

Gomes IS a massive improvement on Robinson.

His punching is superb, his catching a bit shaky some of the time (hence why he punches) but he comes for everything and does what every quality GK should do - clears the box.

Gomes is far better than Robbo. Gomes holds the ball better than Robbo. He is more athletic which makes him better at reaction saves, and reaching the top and bottom corner. He lines the wall up for free-kicks properly, and doesn't hide behind it and allow the opponent a half open goal to shoot at. He has much stronger mentality and doesn't crumble over pressure. He makes his mind up early and actually makes a decision (even if its not always right, at least he makes his mind up.) And he's good at saving penalties, and actually looks like he could save us. He is a match winner.
