This was when our season went to pot. 'Arry convinced DL that we had 3rd in the bag and couldn't win the league so cut the wage bill and plan for the summer. The same arrogance that cost us against Norwich.

No ambition and more has beens added to the squad. Nearly 4 years since we lost our Berba/Keane strikeforce and we still haven't come close to replacing.

Watched the game on the telly, the commentator mentioned that the average age of the Tottenham team was older than Chelsea and that surprised me.

ever since Harry's come in it's one sick note oldie after the next but can we totally blame Harry for that Levy is the one that sancations such deals?

this close season we need to spend wisely and spend within our max. I'd sell Modric if we can get a good offer it's obvious to me now his not bothered. Saha, Friedel, Defoe, Gallas, Nielson, (King I'd keep), Cudicini, Bentley.

Redknapp moved on, Levy should pay him to for his efforts.

The Jan transfer window didn't go great, but it isn't the reason for our drop in form.

I have a sad feeling that this is true.

So, we want DL to start sticking his nose into the footballing side of things? Like who gets signed or not, going over the head of the manager even? Maybe he should start telling Harry who to play etc.

Let me be straight here, just so nobody can be unsure of my position on this. If DL needed a fucking lung or bone marrow transplant, I'd be down the hospital pronto to see if I was a match. ENIC and his chairmanship is the best thing to happen to this club since, what, the 84 UEFA Cup?

Nah, absolutely everything we've heard from Harry, who isn't exactly shy in apportioning blame, is that DL has been completely supportive of him in the transfer market. If anything, it's Henry, by his own admission, who has been the one to kybosh certain deals.

So yes, we can totally blame a DoF-less manager who has had the full backing of his chairman, for the squad the manager finds himself with. Funnily enough.

I don't know why people defend Harry. He doesn't fucking deserve it after the way he's treated us with disdain, we're more than welcome to do the same to him.

Sorry to bump this thread again but it really is the most relevant thread as it marked the point at which we lost our way this season and the reason was clear even then, our manager was going to go off in the summer and the Chairman wouldn't trust him to spend any money.

For those of you still clinging to the HR crap of "we need to win the next 6"..."next 5"..."next 4" to get CL football all I can say is go on YouTube and search for a clip of a plane in a tailspin and then realise that this is what we are in and the outcome is a crash. Not only won't we win all 4, we won't win another 1 and in fact I wouldn't be surprised if didn't get another point.

I don't think it was as disasterous as the windows of summers 10 & 11 and the winter in between but still bad.
