As it says on the tin really, in order rate your managers of the season.

Mine:

Tony Pulis
Gus Poyet
Brendan Rodgers
Roberto Martinez
Manuel Pelligrini

Struggled with 5th, Southampton have done well and think Steve Bruce brought well at Hull in window, league form has dipped lately but let's hope they're saving it for the final hey ;)

Pulis and Poyet have done incredible jobs, especially Pulis when you look at that Palace squad. Gus inherited an unhappy squad but got them to Wembley and safety in the league.

Rodgers has Liverpool playing entertaining football but shortcomings at back have cost him and Liverpool.

Can we include managers that were sacked? Malky Mackay was doing pretty well before he got sacked for no reason.

1. Tony Pulis
2. Malky Mackay
3. Brendan Rodgers
4. Gus Poyet
5. Roberto Martinez

I think Gus deserves a lot more credit than he's getting on here - Sunderland were buried at Christmas, now they're looking like finishing 12th, if they can take three points from the Swans. TWELFTH! Aside from the fact it's just occurred to me what a stupidly spelt word that is, to finish in a comfortable mid table slot like that is nothing short of incredible.

Sure, Pulis did a bang up job being draughted into a faltering Palace side, but i think it would undersell what a marvelous job Gus has achieved dragging Sunderland out of the deepest ocean of shit like he has.

So, Gus first, Pulis second, and throw Martinez, Rodgers and... yeah, anyone you like in the last spot, in any order really, have that one on me.

I'd like to give an honourable mention to Garry Monk. Club man, promoted from within, to take over from a 'difficult' foreign manager who had fallen foul of the Board. Results were mixed, but his belief in playing decent football, combined with the dignity he showed in his dealings with the media, has earned him the respect of both the players and the fans. Consequently, he gets to keep the job for another 12 months.

Well done, Garry.

I wonder how many of these managers will still be in the same job at the end of next season?

Pulis first definitely. What a turnaround at Palace. And the result on Monday has won it for him.

After that, Martinez for me. Turned the whole ethos of the Everton team around. They play good football and he's used the loan system very well.

Would tend to say Gus next, again what a change in fortunes at a club who were bottom at Christmas and getting smashed every week. They even lost 5-1 to us!!

Then Hughes, hes a twat but he's done wonders with a rugby team.

Then Rodgers. Arsehole but done fantastic to finish second after finishing 7th last year.

  1. Pulis (wizard)
  2. Martinez (football style vindicated by actually having some good players for once)
  3. Poyet (Miracle worker)
  4. Rodgers (Suarez usual levels of scumbaggery kept to a minimum, turned Sterling from a nippy fairy into nippy fairy with end product, got Sturridge to pass, and amazingly turned Jordan Henderson good!!)
  5. Mourinho (controversial choice, may have fallen short of the title and the CL just shy of the post, but had a massive say in how the season panned out, and somehow managed to get 69 goals out of a team with nothing but shit strikers)

Can't bring myself to include Pulis because I haven't forgiven him for Stoke and for wearing a baseball cap so:

1) Poyet - remarkable turnaround
2) Martinez - Nice man, nice style, nice.
3) Brendan - boy done good.
4) Widow Twanky (Good for Hudd & Jake)
5) Poch - because I want to start off liking our new manager.

  1. Rodgers - took a not very special team with an excellent strikeforce to almost winning the league.
  2. Pulis - took the worst team player for player by far to mid-table safety with excellent results along the way
  3. Bruce - every player he has bought has done really well for a relegation favourite. Mid table safety and an FA Cup final
  4. Martinez - has got Everton getting consistently good results after spending little money and has them playing much improved football as well.
  5. Pochettino - Has Southampton playing really good football and has got the best out of the individuals as well. Lambert, Rodriguez and Lallana are playing superbly together and he got good performances out of youngsters Clyne, Cork, Ward-Prowse and Shaw.
