Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are set to miss out on Stuttgart midfielder Zdravko Kuzmanovic.
The 25-year-old playmaker has been linked with a move to the Premier League in recent weeks, with Spurs and the Reds reported to be amongst the clubs tracking the Serbian international.
However, agent Marko Naletilic claims that an offer from Inter Milan is the most intriguing for his client, and that today (Wednesday) could be a decisive day in negotiations.
"On the players there are Inter Milan, Liverpool, Valencia and Olympique Marseille. The Inter proposal is the one that most fascinated Kuzmanovic but other outfits offered more money,” Naletilic told fcinternews.it.
"I am in Germany and I'm dealing with Stuttgart over the Zdravko transfer, there are still some details to discuss. I don't know yet if the player will leave now or in June. Today [Wednesday] will be a decisive day."
Despite the claim from the agent, Sky Sports understands that Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is not interested in the player and that a move to Anfield is not on the club’s ‘agenda’.
Tottenham Hotspur boss Andre Villas-Boas has already added to his midfield ranks this month, securing the services of German international Lewis Holtby after initially reaching a pre-contract agreement over a summer move for the player.
His early arrival at White Hart Lane means Spurs are no longer short in the position, despite injury to Brazilian international Sandro, and the north London outfit appear unlikely to challenge the former Fiorentina star’s probable return to Italy.
