We'd get players like that by concentrating on quality an not squandering millions on dross like Bent £16m, Kaboul £8m, Gilberto, Mido, Boateng and all of the other tens of millions wasted in the last 3 years. Look at right back - we've got Corluka £8m, Hutton £9m, Gunter, Zokora, Adam Smith, Chimbonda. Why? But that's where we find the money.

Yes, he can do a job and while we're on the topic, Jenas has been given more than enough chances, I'd love to see him go in the summer for someone truly international class, ie, in Gerrard or Lampard class, not Stylian Petrov or Mikel Arteta.

My own view is that while Zokora can be a useful squad player until the squad strength improves, he will be remembered as a modern day Steffen Freund, an amusement and a limited one at that rather than someone who can help get us to the next level. His control is garbage, he has no goal threat and he does not dominate central midfield like a Vieira or a Keane in the way that Palacious looks like he will.

I would love Arteta in our team, he is a class player but he would never come to us and if he would not then how could we ever sign Lampard or Gerrard or a player of that ilk? Thats just dreamland.

The only way we are ever going to get a player of that calibre in all likelihood is if we find a gem in the youth team. Thats why we have splashed out on Bostock and Parrett because we simply cannot attract or afford developed world-class players.

You say that about top players but we've had Carrick, Berba, Keane, Defoe and let them all slip out of our hands for various reasons we could or could not have avoided. Which has been us all over, a few good players who do well and leave before we consolidate. We have some very good players at present - Ledley, Woody, Palacious, Modric, Lennon, Keane, Defoe - we need to build on that rather than buy non descipt additions.

The right back point is that we have a lot of players for one position and have spent millions on them and are any of them top notch? This is the result of a transfer policy which was disjointed but Harry will sort this out, starting this summer and hopefully free up a lot of cash tied up in players with no future at the club so we can spend it on players who will make us better.

I think that the quality players we have unearthed were all gambles to an extent, This is down to Commoli lol.
Remember, Berbatov, Zokora, BAE
Forget Kaboul (He will come good)

No one has mentioned Zokora's contirbution yet in last night's game, and its a shame, because he was superb last night. Passed well, made forward runs, and his harassing of opponents was equally as good as Palacios. In fact, he passes so much better than Palacios. If it was Palacios who was playing like that last night, there would have maybe been 10 threads of him already. Its about time people realise that Zokora's talent needs to be appreciated more and give him the respect he deserves.

I hope to God he still stays at the club next season.
You're a fucking lunatic.

I don't believe in gods, but if I did, I'd be praying to Carlsberg.
