Sorry mate, meant a member, it's a bit late and I'm not really paying attention to my typing at this time of night. I don't mean to say that him being there is gospel I was just trying to shed some light on the matter. If he's there he's there, if he's not, he's not. We'll soon find out come the end of the window.

A lot of us hope he is.

Hmmm have faith I guess.

How many windows have there been when spurs DONT make a deadline day signing or indeed more then what we have done thus far. Its just not in our blood is it.

As bleak as things look, only Daniel Levy truly knows whats going on, not ITK's.. im not bashing.. but no1 picked up on Modric, no-one knew fuck all about VDV..

So heres hoping we have a little surprise up our sleeves thats been eluded from every man and his dog.

There is no way any of us can say DL has done poorly in this window. It is clear that he has put the money up for the marquee signing that we all desire but for one reason or another it hasn't materialised (yet?).

Has he really? We have no proof that he has been willing to put up a dime. He didn't in the summer. Sure he can spread some lines about willingness to break the bank, via ITK, but that's just PR baloney. At this moment I am inclined to believe that he won't. His total outlay this winter has been a million on Pienaar (after the Bentley loan). What worries me more is that he can't. Why might that be.

This is spot on. I find things out, but I only get told what my source wants to tell me, and he has enough reasons to cover things up. I know 100% that he would know most of what DL does, but would have just as many reasons to keep quiet. And that is why I keep the faith. I was told during deadline day in September that we were finished. The only info I received about VDV was after the news broke, just saying that it had been cleared by the PL. My guess is that vdv being available was sensitive information, whilst the deal being cleared was just info that hadn't been released to the press yet, hence why I get told the latter and not the former.

Ive had a few tonight so apologies if that doesn't make a load of sense...

Makes perfect sense to me.

Itk at its best is basically the dregs of the club's movements filtering down to people. That isn't a criticism, but meant in the sense that we may have general, broad interests in a number of players, and inevitably some of the information related to them will get to people who are willing to pass it on.

The finer details, however, are rarely if ever going to be released if it could endanger a potential signing. That's why as much as I massively appreciate the efforts by all the 'itk's out there (including yourself, yidio), I always try my best to remember we are only ever getting a small glimpse at the whole picture.

The unfortunate thing about this transfer window is we will never have a bigger profile round europe than we have at the moment and by the club not having a specific marquee target or DL frustration at not getting in the right players or whatever spin the club are trying to put on it i cant help feeling we have missed a trick and with the way our strikers are there is no chance of a champions league spot and maybe not even europe if they continue in the same form.

Come on Daniel give us the quality striker we need and if you could come up with a left-back that would be great.

Both the above posts make perfect sense. I have no doubt that if any transfer info is sensitive it will not reach our ears until it is done and dusted.

I hope the info on Lorente is true - he is much more what we need than Suarez is or was.

Harry himself has said it at the end of december, unless you think he was telling porkies of course

"The owner would like me in all honesty to go and spend his money and buy somebody who could make the difference, but I don't know where that player is," he said.
"I know where they are but they're not for sale - we can't go and buy the people that you'd put your life on. Anybody who's got anybody who's real top class, they don't want to sell them at this stage of the season.
"We're not in the situation where we need to panic buy. Unless it's somebody who's going to make a difference to the team then we really wouldn't bother."

Surely 'Arry realises that a striker that can knock in 10-12 league goals between now and the end of the season will make a difference to the team.

if you dont want an inflated price, never ever buy late in the window. because the opponent teams are not looking to sell..its us who are looking to buy.. they will hold us a fucking ransom.and why sell off 2 strikers first? so that we can look short up front and get threatened further? i rather 1 in 1 out and then sell pav..
