Talking about stuff that relates to a change in manager is talking about ITK. If there was some more, i'm sure people would talk about it.
Correct me if mistaken, but I only saw ITK on Moyes. Point me in the direction of the ITK on Capello, van Gaal etc...

Never fear SP, Benzema is another one of those names that we are perpetually linked with who will never actually play for us.

As for Lloris, his worth really depends on a) the amount paid, and b) his form should he arrive. I've seen a bit of him and rate him as an excellent keeper but goalkeepers are a rare breed. Even the very best can make some absolute howlers. I rated Gomes highly and still think he is an excellent shot stopper, he just makes some very suspect decisions. Pletikosa (sp?) was linked with us before and I thought he looked good the other night, as did Akinfeev (sp again?) who comes very highly rated.
Actually was with us for a season Made an appearance in the CC. Good keeper, no top team has ever made a serious move for him though.

Why have the incessant complainers never figured out where the Read Only ITK section is? I found it and I once lost a battle of wits to a dust-mop.
They have found it, their argument is that if they want to talk about it or even read others views on it they have to wade through 20 pages of irrelevant dribble, crazy huh? Actually using the thread for its intended use.

so the only piece of ITK today is a vague "moyes is a name that is being considered"... I considered going to hawaii last year but went to bognor instead. now if the ITK said "moyes is considering taking over at spurs" then thats a different matter.

"The Goat hears that Moyes IS a name that is being considered, but there are other names in the frame"

Sorry but that line gives everybody permission to discuss the potential names in the frame.

You lads talking about Benzema might want to think about what happens when A&C comes in here after bashing one out, though.

Yeah...but it wouldn't be a transfer window wothout some SCers getting a Benzema-flu...regrdless of a total lack of remotely plausible ITK ;)

Don't know exactly what happened with Pleitikosa...didn't we have him on loan, but never play him, or summit?

I agree about 'keepers...loved the Octopus, but there is something flimsy about him, and our oppos figured it out. Still dream of him getting a second chance and being our greatest 'keeper since the heady days of Jennings and Clemence.

Yeah I was thinking that as I typed that post but couldn't remember for sure. But wasn't there something about him doing a medical and another prospective player seeing him and pulling out of a move because of their hatred for each other??

Maybe I'm imagining it all

If you are talking about Stipe and Begovic then you are correct. Begovic had agreed to sign, but saw Pletikosa at the training ground and got the hump.

Shame really as Begovic woul have been a decent no1

Yeah but that dosent give license for a general guessing game, Frick if that's the case I nominate captain planet, we have had the same amount of irk on him as we have had about Benitez, Capello and the like

Based on which track record?
The track record that could them to a CL place?
Or the one subsequent to them, where has had no money to spend for half a dozen years, and has had the squad he built asset-stripped at the same time. Bearing in mind that this includes frequently losing a major player, late in pre-season with no replacement, which has to affect your plans, and may just explain, or partially explain, their slow starts?

Dan, sometimes you talk sense (I 'liked' all of your posts early, about the business side of things), but when it comes to other things you don't have talk some nonsense :ROFLMAO:

Moyes has had a similar amount to spend as Harry in the last 2 seasons.

As for track record, I am talking about the season they nearly got relegated. My point stands that other managers have achieved more at smaller clubs. I would also look at his style of play as a track record. Tottenham is one of the most expensive tickets in the prem. People won't pay that kind of money to watch that little entertainment.

Do you really believe that?
Moyes at Everton has had nothing to spend for about 6 or seven seasons. On top of that, the squad he had built, and was doing very well with, has been systematically asset stripped since then. Almost every pre-season he loses one of his best players, which must affect his plans, and you have to speculate how much of an impact that has on their early season form. I just don't buy into this at all.

I do believe that but I am open to changing my mind. Make me a believable argument Moyes replacing Harry would be a forward step.

There was ITK about Levy meeting with Capello's son who is also his agent, not a credible source admittedly but still ITK all the same so Capello talk is related to ITK

We've barely spent in the last couple of windows, and what little Moyes had to spend was offset by losing Pienaar so cheaply.

As for track record, I am talking about the totality of his reign at Goodison. Other managers may have achieved more at smaller clubs, because Everton is a pretty damned big club (though I am not sure what these achievements that smaller clubs have achieved, TBH). I also look at his style of play...as I have said in all of the debates about Everton/Pienaar, I have a connection with Everton and so watch them quite a lot - and as far as I am concerned it is a mythos that he plays exclusively dour football. But, more importantly, I remember the type of football he had them playing before he stopped getting money for transfers, and the asset-stripping of the team he built began, and I can honestly say that, IMHO, they played some pretty decent stuff.

If you don't want him at the Lane, fine, that is your opinion, just like I don't want Benitez at the Lane even though I consider him to be a credible candidate for the job, but see that, that last sentence, that does my tits in - whoever gets the job, lets wait and see what type of football we are actually playing and then judge whether is is good before condemning, and that means after more than the first fvie minutes of the first game. Though, sadly, there are fans who do exactly that - no matter what they see after, the first five minutes determines how they are always going to be judged by some.

Milan are going to steal Verts from us aren't they?
It'd definitely be a sneaky move
