NO!you do seriously suggest we should play 4-4-2 under AVB ?
I'm pretty sure he said something early on about loving the fans and the club but saying that anything was possible and he also loved his time in Germany.id like to know whats vdv says in public.. i dont think i have read this summer that he wants to stay at spurs. all we hears is whispers but would not suprise me if he wanted to leave. his history shows he does not hang around at clubs but you never know. if he comes out and does a van persie then fine.. his position in team is replacable and plenty of top top number 10's out there that we could attract.
like i said earlier he is top class, gets his quote of goals and assists every season but is alot easier to replace than a modric or bale and he does have fitness issues. he def isnt a 90 minute player but that can be a good thing do.
Err, Read Van Der Kraan's comments about Holland and you would know it wasn't him causing problems and he also confirmed everyone dutch player has spoke out since WC but this was the first time VDV has ever spoken out
Then this cant be dropped bollocks, I mean he wasn't even picked for Europa so there goes that theory,
Truth in this?
Not doubting you, just an interesting fact when we have the likes of Parker, Modric and Walker in our team.
Big deal!! let him run himself into the ground for 60 mins then bring on Bejam, thats what the squad is for. thats why we are hopefully improving the squad/ bench.Could have finished 90 mins
Agreed, he is a very good player, but last season he seemed to tire in the last quarter of the game and he isn't quick. That said he has a sharp footballing brain and such players can make up for their lack of speed. If he is sold, we really do need a quality replacement, and a good price for him.
Like someone else commented though, I am also concerned about the lack of leadership with Gallas going and VDV (apparantly) going and King (apparantly) retiring. Let's hope there are some leaders amongst the new signings.

To be clear I love Rafa and think he is a joy to watch and has put in some fantastic performances in our colours, however that being said I have often thought that at times we have tried to fit our system and style of play around VDV and that has at times hindered us.
I see AVB as more of a round pegs for round holes sort of manager and maybe he doesn't see a place for VDV in the style he wants to pay hence these rumours of him leaving.
Again It would be a shame to see him go though.
But surely the system AVB is likely to use would suit rafa much more than the one we had before. He's dragged us through games before and like someone said above, let him run around for 60 mins then bring on sig. Hope it isn't true tho
Seriously, how ridiculous does it look from the outside. Replacing Redknapp, Modric and VDV in one summer mitigation AVB, Sigurdsson and Oscar? I know I'm excited by it, but I can be deluded at times. Are we completely Mad?
I'd have thought he was quite used to it by now!I couldn`t see Rafa being overly enamoured by being dragged off after 60 mins tbh....
Selling Rafa and replacing him with Sigurdsson and/or Remy would be a grave misjudgement.
