Lucas is the best player in brazil after Neymar.
He's better that Oscar, Ganso, Damiao....

To be fair, Oscar had good games at the national team, but he's not so great playing for Internacional.

no he isn't, perhaps he's the best hyped player in brazil after neymar, there's a reason menezes picks oscar over both lucas and ganso.

I was just pointing out that this was tweeted by the 4th official the same dude who said that vertonghen was joining arse.

They retweeted it as a joke, embarrassing the original tweeter.

Totally agree and how I see it too. Dawson...I love him to bits and so happy to see him as Captain. However, Villas-Boas plays a high line back 4 which presses the opposition. There is no room in this system for King, Dawson, Gallas, Nelsen,...I think even Bassong can be caught out but I remember him doing well on a recovery against Torres so can't be that bad.

I think (and hope) he will retain Dawson as you can't play a high pressing line in every game so may be used on occasion.
To be honest, so much shit is spoken about the "high line." You don't necessarily need Usain Bolt at CB to do it well, Puyol is slow as a fat man walking through a sweet shop at Barca but has never had problems, you just need to be a good defender who anticipates danger well. Saying that, it can't hurt to have some pace there too though...

Fair enough.. You're the expert so I believe what you have said is correct. Just for me being a bit slow (and having a strange thirst for pointless knowledge), please can you explain the following:

To keep the maths easy, lets assume we pay him £1.1m a year, and he gives £100k gross to charity (Scenario A).. OR we pay him £1m and WE give £100k gross to charity (scenario B).

Do we not pay 13.8% of £100k on Scenario A and avoid it in Scenario B?

p.s. I realised on the amount Ade is earning, employee NI wouldn't be 12%! Upper Earnings Limit and all that jazz.

p.p.s. I realise i'm every so slightly going off of topic so will like your response and leave it there!
good point on the employers NI. We would save that. There is an issue though if we don't make a profit as charitable donations can be set against profits but can't increase a loss

@TransferNews_TR: Elia from Juventus to sign for tottenham on a 4 year deal

People should really try to refrain from posting bollocks like this. You can be certain that any account with transfer rumour/agent/itk/insider in the title is a complete waste of everyone's time.

No offence to you personally but the fact that Elia is clearly going to Bremen just goes to prove the point.

pretty sure us giving money to charity in an arrangement in lieu of wages, and pocketing a tax cut for it, would be illegal.

Kaboul isn't that quick—quicker than Dawson, but nowhere near as fast as Ledley in his heyday, or Big Tone Gardner for that matter. He's been caught out on a couple of occasions.

Agreed - just like ITK here is vetted, the same should apply to random twitter bollocks, or at least use some common sense!

The only account worth following with official in it is either Spurs official or FourthOfficial_ (who recently had to change their name for the time being)

Didn't think anyone from Euros will be there yet? They join up later?

Edit - So Modric, Parker, Defoe and ... That is it? I guess we got rid of Kranky and Charlie.

I don't think so, so long as the charity is independent.

Tax is levied on a "benefit in kind". A lease on a car for example obviously is but hard to see how a donation to an independen charity would be a benefit to Adebayor. Except for maybe his conscience.
