Kaboul isn't that quick—quicker than Dawson, but nowhere near as fast as Ledley in his heyday, or Big Tone Gardner for that matter. He's been caught out on a couple of occasions.
I reckon Kaboul is about as fast as BAE. I remember in our first game last season against Aston Villa, Kaboul caught up to Agbonlahor, after being about 10 meters behind him. I can't say if he is as fast as Ledley in his prime or not, but Kaboul's pace is impressive for a man his size.

The only account worth following with official in it is either Spurs official or FourthOfficial_ (who recently had to change their name for the time being)

Apparently that was posted by a fake account. Unless the denial was posted by a fake account about the real account being a real fake account, which could be a fake real account or..oh I don't fucking know anymore.

As far as ITK is concerned, twitter is like a world of a million Adiepfs, with a handful of reliable twittererers scattered here and there.

good point on the employers NI. We would save that. There is an issue though if we don't make a profit as charitable donations can be set against profits but can't increase a loss

You also have to consider that things change if the players are on professional service contracts or employment contracts. It changes the tax implications considerably

wasn't there some itk last summer about the players taking part in speed tests and kaboul topped each of them?

This. Kaboul is one of the fastest in the team, he can't half move for someone of his size. I remember the villa game the other poster was referring to, and not only did younes catch agbonlahor having given him a headstart, but he beat him to the ball and dealt with the situation calmly...indicating he had more in the tank if he'd needed it...to summarise, the boy is swift!

Watched an old worthington cup game Vs Chavs (5-1) the other day and we played 3 CB's with Ledley on the right of the 3 (Gardner and Perry being other 2) and my god, you forget how fast he actually was when he had knees, he has always seemed like he was effortless in his movement (why he was always known as a Rolls Royce) but he was so mobile, similar running to Micheal Johnson. Would easily still be our quickest defender today (knees permitting)

Would that be the same fourth official who posted this gem 60 days ago...

"Just waiting for confirmation of Arsenal signing Jan Vertonghen from Ajax, fee agreed #AFC"

its all educated guesswork or maybe he was having a laugh.

Oh and this beauty "As said Podolski will be followed by Jan Vertonghen, followed by the big exit.. 1/3 #gameon #rollontransferwindow"

Let's not make this the tax implications thread but salaries to players can only be paid via PAYE. Image rights etc is a greyer area

Most top sprinters are built like brick shithouses.

Yes, he's quick, but I have in my mind that game against the Spammers shortly after Ramos took over, when he was caught upfield and couldn't get back. Then I remember Ledders giving Robben a near 10-yard start and running him down.

Yep, Kaboul is no slouch. Great speed especially for his size.

Kaboul is as fast as Luiz. Difference is, he has a brain.

Vertonghen is not that fast (but not slow either) but he is used to playing high up the pitch with Ajax; I think he'll fit into AVB's system really well actually.

Just listening to The rohan rickets show

http://www.column10.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/Rohan-Ricketts-Show-1a.mp3

He was speaking to his old agent Eric Walters who in turn was talking about one of his clients who scored 19 goals in the championship last season. He was saying this player had a physical presence in the box that the club were after, he also said the club was being taken over by very wealthy Arabs.

Now I could be reading way too far into this (and im not saying we are being taken over) but Could that club be us? We will certainly need cover up front and Eric Walters was quite clear on the fact that his player would be playing less than he was before.

Have a listen let me know your thoughts

The only player in the championship who scored 19 goals was southamptons billy sharp.

And funnily enough, Gardner was the fastest of all three.
