JJ also told us the day that our new manager was going to be announced, so he obviously knew.
Groundhog day 4-6 anyone? Quiet week ahead
^ He also said that.... He's not said anything positive since the meltdown yesterday evening as far as I can tell which can't be a good sign.

Hi as you can see am I new here. But what i wonder is how much that the ITK says is just rubbish ? during the hole transfer have they written something that has went throw? . does anyone know where they get the information from or are they just searching around on websites ? would be greatfull if someone could tell me how it works.

It works in different ways really. Some work for the club, some are journalists, some have mates that have connections, some are agents, and some are outright liars.

Generally each website that the 'ITK' posts on will provide the owners/mods of that site with some proof of how 'ITK' they are, which is why it gets passed around on different Spurs sites.

Over time a clearer picture builds up of how informed they are.

Remember that just because a deal doesn't happen, it doesn't mean it wasn't being worked on.

RVP to Man Ure will happen so can rule that out. Giroud seems like a big gamble and cant see that working. Podolski I have always rated and think he will score goals but they still have that dodgy back four!

Id prefer our squad, although with some of our defending pre-season I hope the words "dodgy back four" dont come back to haunt me.

Team I fear more is Chelski. Think Hazzard will do the biz, Torres will come into his own now no pressure from any back ups and expect big things from that German chappy whose named escapes me as he really impressed when we played them in the Champs in both games. Expect Chelski to challenge tbh and it be beteen us and A*****l for 4th. Newcastle wont have another top 6 IMO and Liverpool and Everton to scrap for 5th.

Actually, I think they're going to be in a spot of bother, at least to start with. The way I see it, they have two very key problems: A lightweight midfield...that exposes a ponderous, lumbering defence. I think that bad-tempered charity shield is going to be just the start of a season of a terrible disciplinary record for them. They really, really need a combative midfield ball-winner but all they've bought is beautiful, creative midfielders.

Ooh, yes! Who else might we want to raid from Inter at the same time as Leandro?

Well, avb was scouting out in South America before he came to us, and then he was loitering around in the Brazil team hotel during the Olympics...

I still want Moutinho though!

And a keeper!

Greedy? Moi?

What about Ramires?

I normally hate being proved wrong, on this occasion though, I shall not mind!

Slim Shainy on FTL Re: Llorente (For some background info, he said last week that he was told by a friend who was told by the Bilbao chairman that we had had bid for Llorente. He wasn't taken very seriously).
Lorrient will not be sold unless his buy out clause is met, which wont happen
Bilbao would rather he stays another year and leave on a free. they can only sign basque players anyway so there isnt much they could do with the money on replacements
This is from the chairmans mouth

My mate is a football lawyer/agent, his family comes from bilbao so knows the chairman

The guys who post on here verify their sources with the Mods. If you want to see what info was posted previously you can look in the log:http://www.spurscommunity.co.uk/index.php?forums/the-log.69/

Just because a transfer doesn't happen it doesn't mean the info was wrong - e.g. We could be in for a player, agree a fee with their club, agree wages with a player and then get gazumped by another club so our interest never becomes public knowledge.

I like that way if looking at them.
The lightweight (may I add poncy) midfield...exposing a ponderous, lumbering defence.
Let's hope Terry doesn't get injured.

Is fairly believable actually especially the replacement part. Unless they have somebody in the squad.

I dont rate Llorente to be honest. Just a lump who doesnt do much (Thudd would be jealous too to have competition too).

If, and it is a big if, Ade goes thorugh Id rather a more mobile, dynamic forward with a bit of pace. Leandro would be that :):):)

RE: Llorente.

Sounds strange that a club wouldn't accept 20m+ and let him go on a free. The money can be put elsewhere. Bilbao is a very special club, but I doubt they'd say no to a big fat wallop of cash.

I think I've cracked it.

We're lacking strikers, and once Modric leaves, we're going to be short of central midfielders. Combined with the knowledge that we're putting in a double bid...

Clearly, we're signing Crouch and Palacios from Stoke! :sneaky:

That be he! Ideal replacement for Modrat he would have been but no doubt earning about 180k a week.

Without wanting to get into debate, Modric is a central midfielder, Marin is a wing forward or second striker. There is no comparison.
