Cant see the lloris thing happening now either - that would give us four senior keepers, two of whom we'd have paid a combined 25 million quid for. Friedel's not going anywhere and i dont see any likely bidders for gomes in the next fortnight at a price that would get levy interested. I suppose we could release cudicini.

I dunno, after watching the game yesterday it is clear that Villas-Boas likes using the GK as an 11th passing option. Where Friedel is an exceptional goalkeeper in every regard, I'm not sure he still has the mobility to keep up with this style of play. Someone more comfortable on the ball would be a good option, as soon teams will work out this tactic and press Friedel more.

Adebayor and Leandro + a modric replacement is probably the best we looking at this window and that's perfect for me good balance of what we need/money it will cost to bring them in. I hope those aren't optimistic demands from me as a fan
