So has Rooney five times....they told him to know his fucking role and went and won more leagues.

Player power means less with a long contract. If you don't want to play, they won't sign you next year, and you can enjoy the reserves and fines until the cows come home.

If he doesn't want to play for us, I dont want him. Fuck being your girlfriend and trying to break up with you.

As for Rooney, yeah that was brilliant wasn't it last week, watching a player play for a team he doesn't want to play for, sulking around the pitch and doesn't celebrate when they score. (y)

He may still leave Man Utd. The offer for Rooney is also much easier to turn down..

True but if he wants to leave AND we RM are putting in a world record bid then it makes sense to sell him since it works for both parties.

We're pushing on with the team as a whole this season, more than in any other season and as much as big a loss it will be losing Bale we will have a great squad by the looks of things

we've been getting top 5 but what we want is to be champions

you maybe happy with top 5 but I want to see Dawson lift the premiership trophy

soldado will score goals, willian and lamela will create goals and capoue, sandro and paulinho will provide a strong midfield unit

I like bale as a player but I can see great things happening

Without wishing to be harsh, that's idiotic.

We end up in a situation where we have no Bale AND no funds to replace him with.

I think I would have been very distraught at the beginning of this window. I know for a fact. Any time JJ or another ITK on the side of him leaving would post, I would try to ignore it for those that didn't. Cognitive dissonance is a useful tool.

But Willain, Soldado and Coco (plus that mind-boggling array of box-to-box midfielders) make me think ......we're better now and capable of great things with or without Bale. So contingent on Lamela, I am actually not worried. And wish Gareth good luck. Thanks for the amazing year and thanks for funding the overhaul of a squad that makes it the best since 91 despite losing VDV, Modric and yourself.

I will miss you though Gareth. For one moment in time, we had the best player on the planet, bar none. And that was incredible.

Also this will drag on until all of our targets are secured.

If Bale really goes, they are bound to ask him about his views and what went on the last few weeks, his 'injury' and sulking his time away etc. I hope he will be gracious about it and not spout nonsense about how we made things difficult or whatever else. That will make me lose all respect for him

What about the other times he wanted to leave? He got over it and added another winners medal to the cabinet. People are fickle. Bale would be disappointed for a while. Then he would settle in with the boys again, get his spirits up and go again. At the end of the day he will still love playing football.
