Jason burts article in the telegraph describes spurs, united, arsenal and Chelsea as big spenders on transfer deadline day, he goes on to name specific targets, interestingly draxler for arsenal, but doesn't expand on spurs targets, could be in line with the current secrecy surrounding a final big name arrival

There's no reason Rose couldn't have a Walker-like season of a couple of yrs back. I like him. You'd think we were really looking to get another body in if Benny is gorn. Fryers looks like he might be capable in the future but is totally untried and very raw to even be back up, imo. Needs a loan somewhere to get some first team football under his belt.
But maybe Andre is fine with that. His call and a skidmark like me will just have to trust it. It's not his first rodeo after all.
Edit: Can Churches not play FB? Can't remember if it was at RB or LB though so that might be the thinking by the coaches. Verts and Churches (if it was indeed LB he can also play) are the backup LB/comp for Danny.

After Coentrao and Baines, there really isn't that player who's going to be a better fit in our system so no point spending for the sake of it.
I believe in Rose so I'm not going to be despondent.

Rose hasn't been tested at all this season in a Spurs shirt. I think my worry regarding him will be justified come tomorrow.

Time after time Arsenal exploit our left hand side, nobody ever tracks Sagna and even Jenkinson and they double up and fire crosses in for fun. Tomorrow Rose, if Chadli doesn't protect him will be taken apart 2v1. We could have done with having someone like Baines in for this game but i'm not going to get picky now given the players we have brought in this summer.

I think AVB will continue with the tactic of putting Vertonghen there for teams that he perceives carry an aerial threat. It was a big part of his tactics last season so cant see him just dropping it. Then for any injury to Rose he can cover out there anyway, presuming all our centre backs were fit and healthy. Plus we still have Naughton's

I dont see Lennon going at this stage, not been much ITK on him, dont think he'll go to Cardiff, plus isnt he Levy's favourite?
I also see Ade staying due to him digging his heels in
Siggy and Carroll on loan most likely i think to leave
No idea whats going on with BAE...
Think Rose has done enough though to warrant half a season as first choice, there is always the Jan window plus Naughton is ok as cover
Plus dont see Ozil leaving RM, he's one of their best players and said he wants to stay

I've gotta say, I find it staggering that with the amount of money we've had available to us this year we're content with Danny Rose as our first choice full back.
