Maybe Luis Suarez is the 45m player everyone's talking about?

Well, the Goats post was entitled "Jaws".

Seriously though, like hell they'd sell him to us, and I don't think he'd want to come here either. Plus, I don't want the prick because he's...well...a prick.

We've spent a lot on a lot of really good players, a couple who have the potential to turn into superstars. I just still feel we are lacking that match winner we had with Bale, a Mata or Ozil would solve that.

Please stop saying we have spent £100m, we haven't, we have recovered what paid out so we've not spent anything.

Now is the time to see if levy means business and if we're actually going to spend some money.

Why the fuck are people underestimating Ozil? The guy is an assist machine, hes better than any player we have in an attacking sense, he could walk into any team.

Except his own? Easy to rack up assists when you're supplying Cristiano though.

Folks don't do it to yourselves - Levy sold circa £108m of talent and bought circa £106m of talent whilst
circulating rumours of a huge £45m deadline day deal that will never happen.
A win win for him currently, good approval rating for spending/recirculating transfer funds and additional money in the bank, it doesn't get any better for him ...........the cynic in me would say.

Judging by most of your posts, I think stating you have some other optimistic views on this club is a bit of a stretch.

If Arse get Ozil then I will be expecting Reus to turn up for Tuesday training with Lamela and Eriksen otherwise I will be displeased and may send a few moderately angry letters to those responsible.... I would also settle for Draxler if Dortmund have a broken fax machine.

Please tell me you're joking. We are not getting Reus.

We are forgetting the most important thing in all of this - there is a 3rd kit to unveil tomorrow so we obviously have held off on buying our 45m player until the last 24 hours so we can parade him in the new top.

But I think you'll find we have spent 100m...I get your point that we have recouped it but we have still brought some amazing players that just need time to gel.

Maybe part of our partnership with Madrid involves us buying Suarez for a year because Madrid can't afford him at the moment and then selling him for a profit to Madrid next year. Also, for Madrid to string Arsenal along with Ozil and then tell them the fax machine broke at the last minute.

Id fucking love to have him in our team but he is out of our reach. Id say he is out of Arseholes reach too, surprised Yanited arent in for him.

We arent breaking our record again, all i can see happening is a loan for a few of ours and maybe we get Coentrao on loan.
Real Madrid doesnt sell to Champions League rivals since Robben and Sneijder even then they will only negotiate if they know they are better than the other team

I don't think people quite realise how good Lamela is.
They really don't. If ever a player was born to play for Spurs...

It took me about 2 minutes to work out this guy is a step above.
Amazed at some of the mixed feedback i've read.

Let's remember the January window: everyone expecting signings last day we'd had talk of Sneijder, Damaio etc, what happens? Jenas out, Townsend loan.
Result: Underwhelmed, frustrated, #signafuckingstrikerlevy

Summer 2012: 'Welcome... Joao Moutinho'; all day waiting, then some crock of shit thing late on about papers and he wasn't even in the country.
Result: Cheesed off, underwhelmed, Clint Dempsey.

Winter 2012: Nelsen and Saha.
Result: Picketing Levy's house, mass boycotts, suicides etc

Whatever happens tomorrow, Lamela, Chiriches, Paulinho, Chadli, Eriksen, Soldado, Capoue is cracking business especially Lamela.

It's been a great ride and I remain content that this window, for once, we actually did it right.

Hoping that we sold Bale today so we can end on a high tomorrow.

In reality it will probably be a massive disappointment.

I feel unbalanced. Need bed.

We don't have to worry about tomorrow for the first time in years.
Our business is sound, anything else is a bonus.

We can actually comfortably laugh at anyone else's failed bids, not just our own! What a treat!
