Haha, that's the team I wanted to avoid FC Krasandor in pot 3... They look like a real tough
side to play.

Doubt Everton will get through, ha brilliant.

I'd rather have their group with trips to France and Germany than Turkey and Serbia.

I think we have the player numbers to handle annoying travelling, providing Poch plays a team similar to yesterdays. Wolfsberg will definitely give Everton a game, both home and away.

At least Besiktas play in Istanbul, so the travelling isn't too bad.

Could do without the travelling but we should be OK really. We're probably the strongest team in the entire competition at this point.

All Daniel needs to do is buy all their decent players before the deadline.

Another reason why most people think this competition is a joke. Why can't they just have all games kicking off at the same time like the CL?

Coz they get to play it over 2 days.... the teams are also split, 2 english teams on Tue, 2 english teams on wed..... so same i deal here, one set early kick off, one set later since we only got 1 day for the europa league.

oh well, decent group. hopefully we can top it.

The problem with this is not only the air miles, it's the fact that we were relying on the EL giving some gametime to youngsters and fringe players.

However, because all the teams we're facing are from uncompetitive leagues, they'll be fielding full strength sides.

Conundrum, esp vs Besiktas.

this will be fun. some decent teams instead of the crap we played last year and 6 games instead of 8. like someone else pointed out - a proper warm-up for champions league. Id much rather watch us play Betsikas and Partizan than Tromso and Sharif, even if we dont advance.

Don't fancy Besiktas much. Looked a very solid unit against Arsenal.

When we last played them remember I hearing the home fans clapped us off because of the great football we player under Jol.

Forgot about that, that was the stadium that's right on the water iirc? We won 3-0 I think, atmosphere was crazy. Just thinking the atmosphere and noise when they played Arsenal was intense.

Besiktas away will be a great atmoshpere, can't wait! Aren't they the ones who cheered us off the park when we schooled them a while back?
