that's the problem, enic just don't have the capital. if the manager wants musacchio and schneiderlin then these are players we should be able to bring to the club, instead he has to make do with cheaper options.

Exactly. When you see Arsenal paying Welbeck £100k a week you realise that it's going to be difficult for us.

But how come Leicester stick 5 past Utd with their budget? Utd had £400m of talent and were 3-1 up. Leicester were better than Arsenal a few weeks back too and should have beaten them. What are Southampton paying their players compared to us? Or Swansea?

We had itk that Poch, Levy and Baldini sat down and decided the players to bring and what we'd pay. Levy even offered over budget apparently but we still didn't get them. What players do you think we should have got?
We should have got as much as we could for rose, Kaboul, Townsend and soldado. But instead he decided to keep them.
They'll be worth nothing next summer.
Davies looks below average and can't even get in above rose. Meanwhile our best left back is in purgatory for no apparent reason.
Walker seems to be "King'd" so we're playing an inexperienced centre back at right back.

The whole summer was wasted. They players on they pitch look shit because they are shit and we missed opportunities to fix that. And that's not the players fault.

Levy should've also supported him and given him the players he wanted. But bygones are bygones... In Poch, we've got an AVB type manager back (maybe not the real deal, but a marked improvement on Sherwood) - let's see if he's given time to satiate the impatients.

I agree and hopefully Poch's man managing and attacking philosophy are superior to AVB's

Also you see players like Shane long, vardy from Leicester bullying and harassing defences, I would rather a striker like that than what we have it would at least create openings for other players . Adebayor for me is offering nothing

No he didn't, we had stacks of players on the books and 15 or so players that were at the world cup, add in a tour of America and it was a pretty fractured transfer window.
That's bollocks. We turned down offers for rose and Townsend that would have made us £20m or so to reinvest. Other clubs managed to work around the world cup. Is it only a handicap for spurs?

He's a coach, not a God-like miracle worker.

Your right he is not a miracle worker but some of his decisions today were poor and worringly in the last two games Europa and today the side has been clueless and lacking any spark.
In fact we had No shots on target thursday and Only one today truly shocking he has a problem to solve and fast otherwise confidence will drain fast and as a well paid coach thats what he gets paid for.
However he must have known what he was Walking into as with avb Levy sells you a dream regarding players to purchase and then gets the opposite poch like avb is just a stooge.

Rose has been quite good i hate to admit. Not sure anyone wanted Kaboul, Townsend didn't want to go to Southampton or did Levy say they weren't offering enough. But yeah he should have gone. No point in selling Soldado unless we got a replacement in. And Lennon should have been sold too but refused to go to QPR too. You can't make players go if they have contracts.

The mistake was blowing the Bale money on bringing in average players. Liverpool have done exactly the same. Now we're stuck with them.

Our next four games starting with next Saturday:

Arsenal (A)
Southampton (H)
Besiktas (H)
Manchester City (A)

That is a very difficult stretch of games for a team that looked as turgid as today. We play anything like what we saw in these last two games going forward and we will lose all 4 of those matches comfortably. Pochettino will have to rise to the challenge and quickly integrate Fazio and Vertonghen together into the starting XI.

Chiriches is really really bad. Gave away four needless corners today, one of which resulted in the goal . His positioning is piss poor, he can't win any battles and his decision making is terrible. I'd rather have Capoue play CB instead of him.

Vlad's problem is he doesn't take enough chances when he gets the ball, if he did a few more step overs he'd be able to knock it past his man and sprint up the pitch. Is it too much to ask that we see a bit of flair from our defenders?

I swear I saw someone say Pochettino is a marked improvement on Sherwood.

You couldn't make it up.

We haven't won in our last 4 games failing to score in 3 of them and in 3 of those games we were playing teams supposedly beneath us.

In what parallel dimension is that better than Sherwood who actually got us winning and scoring, be it with an annoying attitude?

Seriously, we've been dogshit in every game bar QPR who themselves are pathetic.

Bloody hell, we're only 3 points above the bottom three. Not for long then.

AVB, Sherwood now Poch. Hmmmm maybe the players need to carry some responsibility? I wanted Frank De Boar, but there's no way he'd get anymore out of this bunch of players.
I think he would have been more tactically astute than all of them but we'll never know. I really still believe we have a really good team in there somewhere but they require a manager without a pre set philosophy to get the team playing to its strengths our last 3 managers are trying to force a style of play on a group of players it doesn't suit. Either you let poch pick the players he wants and back him with the money or it will be rinse and repeat till a takeover.
