if we can get benteke for the right price we should go for it. sometimes we forget the human factor in football players. look at vertonghen and see how much he improved after his long time friend join the club. the companionship, the friendship, chemistry of people whom you can connect or talk to plays a huge part in a work place.
even if its a school project, i've always been willing to work harder when im with my best friends or friends i enjoy working with. i can see benteke being much happier here with his belgian friends compared to being in liverpool.
benteke was very very good for aston villa. he was willing to run, strong, good at holding the ball, good in the air, good technique, he is a genuine kane 1 for 1 replacement without having to tweak the tactic.
against weaker cb you drop kane to number 10 and suddenly we become an insane aerial threat in set pcs with dier, toby, vertonghen, benteke, kane.
if kane is tired or in cup games we can field benteke and the team plays the exact same way
it would be stupid not to take him if hes available at the right price
He doesn't have a great technique, he is a problem in build up play because his passing isn't good enough so our tactics would have to change. He isn't a Kane replacement, he's been dropped by Liverpool cause he is deemed not good enough. We don't cross the ball so his aerial threat isn't much of an issue, you don't buy players simply because they are good at corners. He cost Villa a League Cup final because of poor finishing and against Arsenal at Wembley he simply gave up.
