Rose my MOTM . Ratings later
Doesn't help when you're asked to play a role that's not natural to him in a League/environment you're still acclimisting to.Carroll was immense I thought. Some beautiful passing.
Son just doesn't look settled to me yet. Doesn't look confident.
How the fuck was Onomah worse than Son?Vorm - 6 - Didn't make many mistakes but every time he plays we seem to look shaky, he doesn't seem to install confidence in-front of him.
Trippier - 6.5 - Pretty decent performance from him, got forward well. Walker may have dealt with Gray slightly better.
Wimmer - 6 - Coming along nicely for me, lost more headers than he should've but nothing really to criticise
Toby - 5.5 - One of his poorer games, mabye a bit tired or due a bad game
Rose - 6 - Also got forward well
Carroll - 7.5 (MOTM) - Brilliant passing display, very positive. Gave it away a bit but usually won it back straight after.
Dier - 6.5 - Nothing much to report, standard solid performance from him.
Chadli - 6 - Ran at the defenders well but is just so predictable. I don't personally rate him but i can see why people do.
Eriksen - 6.5 - Great finish and tried to create but not quite on top of his game at the moment.
Onomah - 6 - He's still young and made a few poor decisions but worked very very hard and about what you'd expect from such a young talent.
Son - 6.5 - Worked hard and some good turns and shots but just isn't a striker i'm afraid
Subs:
Bentaleb - 6 - Decent shot near the end and kept us ticking over but this is not the bentaleb who was oozing with confidence a year or so ago, has his injuries affected him or is he pissed off he's not back in the team anymore?
Kane - 7 - Great pen!
Potch - 6.5 - Good team selection and glad we rescued the draw, some sloppy defending aside we bossed them. I fancy us in the 2nd leg for some reason and we're fresh for Wednesday bringing the big guns back.
The criticism towards Wimmer, Carroll, Eriksen, Son and Bentaleb is hillarious. Criticism of Chadli is justified however.
COYS!
