Would do some ratings but only watched half the match due to BBC zooming into players and managers without the ball

Carroll looks class today...easy decision for me, deserves it. Hopefully his early exit with Dier means he's likely playing midweek, good stuff Tom.

I thought Carroll was very positive, made some brilliant forward balls to create chances. We went a bit out of shape when him and Dier came off, leaving just a rusty Bentaleb. Thought he should have stayed on with either Onomah or Son coming off. MotM for me.

Rose did well, he was our main threat in terms of getting that ball forward and into the box. He's a much more positive player than Davies, just gets involved a lot more.

I thought Onomah had decent moments, did well at times, but at others he just struggled to make the right decisions. Doesn't help that he keeps tripping over himself, needs to sort out his balance and composure on the ball. Promising player though and I look forward to his development.

Carroll was immense I thought. Some beautiful passing.

Son just doesn't look settled to me yet. Doesn't look confident.

Vorm - could have done better with 2nd goal

Trippier - did very well but didnt really find anyone with his good cross

Rose - did very well but same as above

Toby - I don't think toby was his usual self today until later in the second half when he was good going forward

Wimmer - had a good game

Dier - played well before he got taken off

Carroll - was very good imo and was the player that found the full backs more than anyone

Eriksen - did well for his goal and had good moments, set pieces were shocking, our best corner came from Carrol and I don't know why we changed back to Eriksen

Chadli - overplayed it at times and need to do the simple

Onomah - Also not a fan of Onomah out wide, he isn't a wide player and isn't a player who has experience of crossing the ball or beating his man when he is side on to the player. He is a CM/AM. Faded in the second half

Son - was our poorest player

Overall we played well and first half we did well. Carroll motm imo

First half good, 2nd half bad. Thought Chadli was always our biggest threat in a side lacking very little in that regard. Onamah faded after a bright start and Eriksen showed why he is such a divisive player - a game where we were crying out for someone to take the creative reigns he was yet again a passive onlooker, not to mention his embarrassing corner taking

A draw is not ideal for anyone, but at least we are still in the hat

Carroll played some fantastic balls but still showed me why he can never ever be a starter for us in the midfield 2, way too lightweight in defence.

Like basically all of our players, he would benefit from us playing 4-3-3, shame it'll never happen.

Vorm. 5.5 don't feel at all comfortable with him, should be doing better.

Tripper. 6 not much wrong but didn't excel either, solid show.

Rose. 7 looked full of desire and got forward well.

Toby. 5 bad day at the office.

Winner. 6 thought had a very decent knock.

Dier. 6 looks to be playing within himself recently maybe needs a break.

Carrol. 8 Mom. Some really incisive passing, always available, excellent weight of pass and like to make things happen. Is growing in confidence, think he will scare people whe he is really comfortable in this team.

Eriksen. 7. Decent play, goal, some good passes looks better dropping deep and linking with midfield, but like patchy here and there.

Chadli. 6 did OK, looked ring rusty.

Onomah 6.5 showed excellent potential at times, needs to stay on his feet.

Son. 5 never really got in the game for me. Had a couple of moments but not enough.

Bentaleb...looked like he had something to prove and was decent. Would of liked to see him alongside Carroll.

Kane...great penalty, not a huge among more but plenty of running.

Doesn't help when you're asked to play a role that's not natural to him in a League/environment you're still acclimisting to.

Just not a stand in replacement for Kane, period.

MOTM Robert Madley

Bet both teams can't wait for the replay. With any luck the Premier League will make both teams play a league game less than 72 hours after the replay!!!

Roll on Wednesday...

Vorm - 6 - Didn't make many mistakes but every time he plays we seem to look shaky, he doesn't seem to install confidence in-front of him.

Trippier - 6.5 - Pretty decent performance from him, got forward well. Walker may have dealt with Gray slightly better.
Wimmer - 6 - Coming along nicely for me, lost more headers than he should've but nothing really to criticise
Toby - 5.5 - One of his poorer games, mabye a bit tired or due a bad game
Rose - 6 - Also got forward well

Carroll - 7.5 (MOTM) - Brilliant passing display, very positive. Gave it away a bit but usually won it back straight after.
Dier - 6.5 - Nothing much to report, standard solid performance from him.

Chadli - 6 - Ran at the defenders well but is just so predictable. I don't personally rate him but i can see why people do.
Eriksen - 6.5 - Great finish and tried to create but not quite on top of his game at the moment.
Onomah - 6 - He's still young and made a few poor decisions but worked very very hard and about what you'd expect from such a young talent.

Son - 6.5 - Worked hard and some good turns and shots but just isn't a striker i'm afraid

Subs:
Bentaleb - 6 - Decent shot near the end and kept us ticking over but this is not the bentaleb who was oozing with confidence a year or so ago, has his injuries affected him or is he pissed off he's not back in the team anymore?
Kane - 7 - Great pen!

Potch - 6.5 - Good team selection and glad we rescued the draw, some sloppy defending aside we bossed them. I fancy us in the 2nd leg for some reason and we're fresh for Wednesday bringing the big guns back.

The criticism towards Wimmer, Carroll, Eriksen, Son and Bentaleb is hillarious. Criticism of Chadli is justified however.

Vorm.........6+...Did OK. Some good catching. Only 1 poor ball out. Exposed for both goals
Trippier......7.....Gave us a lot of width and saw a lot of the ball. No end product from some decent crosses.
Toby...........6.....Lost his man for the opener. Better coming forward later in the game. Missed his best mate.
Wimmer.....6+...Pretty sound. At least we know we have reliable back-up.
Rose..........7....Senior man today. Earned the penalty. Terrible crossing early on but steadied later.
Dier............6.....Nothing dynamic today. Would have rested him for Bentaleb.
Carroll........8.....Proper footballer. Some brilliant balls early on. Me and Poch like him. Nuff said
Eriksen.......7.....Nice goal, poor set pieces. Prefer him further forward.
Onomah.....7-....Decent game. Needs to make up his mind more quickly. Promising
Chadli........5+....Not quite there yet. Not convinced he knows where it is.
Son............7......Played well, a constant threat with his tricky movement but nothing came off in the end.

Bentaleb.....7.....After his wild shot composed himself well. Good to see him back as a midfield optiion.
Harry Kane........50th goal earned the draw. My adopted son and I love the boy like a mother. All he did was score.*

*Bill Nick on Jimmy Greaves. All he's done today is score four goals.
